Seems like you guys have 3 options: (1) trade Hill; (2) trade Parker; (3) trade neither

(1) is a problem because as I see it it's a good thing for the Spurs that Hill's future is unpredictable. If you trade him you'll probably get back more of a sure thing player but with a lower ceiling. But I think to beat LA the Spurs need a lucky break and the only one I can see on the horizon is Hill making the jump. He's not as quick as Monte but is as good of a finisher and seems to have more range on his shot.

(3) is a problem because you have 2 guys who play the same position and nobody to play the 3. The whole "bring a really awesome guy off the bench" strategy doesn't work if you can't fill the starting line-up.

Hill will play as a SG a lot of time and we spect to have Jefferson back with Hairston, Anderson and even Manu as a possible SF if necesary..

We're in trouble if we play Hill at the 2. We'll be exposed big time if we go down that road.

Random trade idea: TP straight up for Derrick Favors.

365 days ago, TP was an All-Nba third team player, and a 3x all star player.
Today, Hill can replace TP, and lead us to a championship run.

Hum, WHAT??? Doesn't make any sense to me. We need TP, Manu and Hill for next season. Gino must not play heavy minutes, and Hill can help do that, playing both PG and SG.

I don't want to see TP go, but he is our best trade asset.

So? Does it mean we MUST trade him? no we don't.
The one thing SAS has to do is book Splitter in, not trade TP!

Are we winning a championship with TP, with the team we have currently? No. We need to improve. If TP can be moved for a piece or two that improves our chances at competing for a title, I say it should be explored. No point hanging onto players for the sake of nostalgia. The ideal goal is always a championship.

We have plenty of tradeable assets and Tony is the biggest. He isn't untouchable but don't trade him just to free up mins for Hill.

I think you guys need to upgrade the 3. Jefferson was getting left wide open in the playoffs the guy is done. Stephen Jackson, Martell Webster, Wes Matthews, Wilson Chandler, all better options IMO. If you can do that while keeping TP and Hill then great, not sure that's possible though.

We shouldn't trade TP for crap...

Getting role players and filler isn't going to get us closer to a championship...

All the ideas in this thread have been laughable in my opinion.

If trading TP gets us a bigger Star player, then I think everyone here is all for it. But trading TP for youth or for role players? Even good role players who fits the team isn't going to make us better this year in terms of competing for the title.

Never once mentioned he should be traded for crap. If he can't be moved for a star player in return there's no point trading him.

The trade offers proposed here by another fan have been puke worthy...
