Boozer gone!!

Post#1 » by stevebozell » Wed Jul 7, 2010 8:50 pm

Just saw on ESPNNEWS that Boozer has agreed to sign a 5 year/80 mill contract with Chicago. So hes gone, for nothing.

I sure hope we offered to match that deal, and he decided to leave anyway, because that's not an unreasonable price. Ouch.

Bye, Booze. Had a lot of bad moments with the injuries and against Pau Gasol and on defense, but he a mostly awesome player and probably the only interesting personality on the team in the last few years.

It is Boozer we're talking about. It's not done until the ink is dry.

Listening to 1280 online...theyre talking like it could be a sign and trade, for possibly a small contract and a large trade exception to go out and get somebody else. Not sure if thats the case, but I kinda hope so.

Hope so too.. I hope we got something back..I'm guessing we did with the salary amount 5/80 ($16 million a year?)

@chadfordinsider Bulls agree to 5 yr, $80 mil deal with Carlos Boozer. Bulls still have enough cap space to sign a max player.

He was probably demanding more out of the Jazz. Well, time for Millsap to take the reigns.

Well, if Jalen Rose's twitter says it, you know it's a fact.

Happy trails to the man who gives you a 66 cent return on your dollar. No surprises here. Kudos to the Jazz for not listening to the idiots out there who think we should overpay him to lose to the Lakers again....

Millsap will do fine. I also think AK getting 4 minutes during a contract year will be fine. Boozer scores a lot, but how much of his offense is system generated? We will find out.

Makes you wonder what the Jazz offered him.

The Jazz are worse off for losing him, but Boozer won't lead us to a championship so we'll see what other moves can happen.
