That's why I only signed a three year deal
So you think D-Will will be all upset that Boozer is gone or not really since he's not best buddies with him like he was with Brewer? That was quite a sharp reaction for not losing much. Let's see what he says this time.

I don't think Deron will have a whole lot to say until we know the roster going into preseason or the very least training camp.

What was Deron's reaction over last summer? Trade him...not to mention he is Paul Millsap's biggest supporter and Paul is one of his best friends. I dont think he freaks out that much, Deron only cares about winning and Im not sure that was Carlos' #1 objective all the time.

Yeah D-Will could care less about money. All about winning. But Boozer could care less about winning, only money. Right?

Boozer put himself in this situation. He has established a well-known motivation for money. I think a lot of people are too hard on him, just like a lot of people are too blind to his actions and words.
Boozer= Great Offense and Rebounding, Very Poor D, and a Constant Supply of Drama either good or bad.

Sloanfeld is right, this is the reason DW, Lebron, Bosh, DWade and all those stars signed 3 yr deals, to see if their teams were dedicated to winning. IF they are, they can sign for more money, if not, then they leave. I guarantee DW doesn't want to play for a "competitive" team, but a contender.

Fact check: Jazz reportedly had opportunity to best the Bulls offer and opted not to.

Did anyone have a legit doubt about Boozer going elsewhere?

It's ok, we will just bring back Brewer to cheer him up.

I don't think that any of us are surprised that he left, but we were holding out hope for a sign-and-trade. Boozer was basically out the door last summer, it just took a while to develop.

He's got 2 more years.
Losing Boozer won't piss Deron off enough that he'll hold a grudge for that long. It's what we do with that trade exception and most importantly what we do next offseason w/ the CBA and AK's contract coming off the books, whether Hayward becomes a rotation player in 2 years.... that's what Deron's looking at.
This will have almost no impact in the big picture on Deron's decision.

Which was a great call.. .Boozer wasn't worth the 5 yr 68mil deal we gave him... Now he's getting a raise?!?!? Chicago overpaid, and the front office wont put themselves in that position. Booze is not worth 16 mil per/. we should be able to find some replacements, and with AK's contract situation we have some flexablity this and next off season.
Bye Bye Sloan, Good Riddance Deron. Hello new Era in Jazz Basketball.

Just to be clear: I'm not making a judgment on the Jazz's decision, I just wanted to defend Carlos Boozer's decision. I don't think this was a case of Boozer spurning the Jazz or Utah in general to play somewhere else for similar money. I think he took the best offer he got.
I think Boozer is going to be unfairly demonized in the next few years by Jazz fans, especially if he and the Bulls do really well, for leaving the Jazz.

I honestly don't think Deron liked Boozer and his lack of heart. That's the impression I always got.
