I can see where he fits in. Can play 2/3/4, shoot the three. This could even out the roster.

That being said, I'm not sure why we're doing it...

Although I like Kleiza as a player.....I dont think its wise to be stocking up on all these role players for MLE size contracts when your team is in rebuild mode and you dont have a legit franchise player (or potential franchise player) on the roster.

This likely means the TPE we get Miami won't even be used. The Amir + Kleiza signing will send the Raps cap up to $58 mill. If we get Beasley in a S&T with Miami, the Raps payroll will rise to $63mill...leaving only $6-7mill of breathing space between the payroll and lux tax. Not a good idea imo.......I personally would keep as much breathing room under the tax as possible...you never know what players teams might want to dump mid-season. The TPE in combination w/ breathing room under the tax + draft picks could net you a star.

Does this put us over the cap so we can still use the MLE if Bosh walks without S&T? Otherwise I don't get it.

I guess this confirms a S&T is now coming otherwise they could not use the MLE and would be over the cap.

What do we need right now?

For God sake, he's not Ryan Gomes. He's a SF - bye bye Turk? - whose young, TOUGH, ornery, AND BADLY WANTS TO BE IN TORONTO!

He's a good three point shooter, with some decent athleticism. He's not a superstar, but for 4/20 he's decent value and likely to be the kind of bargain signing we got in Jarrett Jack.

Agreed. But atlease he's a versatile player, gives us a lot of options in the rest of our trades...

Love the player. I just don't understand why were signing guys when we should be going into rebuild mode.

He is. The QO is less than half what he is signing for.

There's a small chance Denver matches, and there is a chance we convert this into a sign and trade if we do get a TPE.
