Dude you were guaranteeing James a Knick yesterday. Cmon man stick to your guns

I know I know but it just seems like this prick never intended to come here or anywhere besides Maimi. I cannot believe I am saying this but I would actually be ok if he went to the Bulls over Miami. Shoot me now please.

Also a close friend of mine is good friends with an employee of the Heat. He has been trying to get in touch with this Heat employee all morning but he hasnt' heard back yet. If I hear anything I will let you guys know.

I am a bit nervous about this Heat idea but I like the fact that people with logic are still saying the Knicks while talking heads like Broutard and SAS are saying Heat.

When you're right, you're right. I've been saying this for a week. The reports that favor NY all use logic, solid information, and some semblance of reasoning. The Miami reports are all based on "sources" and nothing else. Nothing about how they'll divide the money, no reasoning, no evidence. It's not over. For all we know the sources for pro Miami are coming from Miami themselves, or ESPN producers, we have no idea.

This guy will go down as one of the biggest jerkoffs in sports history. His legacy is over, he will be a heel in every city but Miami. F him!!

dieselchew137 wrote:Ok guys here's my logic. They had to leak something like Miami for a couple reasons. The first one is that with the huge growth in MSG stock, things were going to get out of control. They needed that to come down a little bit, otherwise it could become a complete mess (stocks since dropped).

Second of all, in order to truly recreate a rivalry between the Heat and Knicks, wouldn't it really stir up the fans most to make the Heat look like the frontrunners and then have him sign with the Knicks.

Call it wishful thinking, but I truly believe this Miami leak was orchestrated purposely to make things the way they needed to be prior to 9pm. Lebron to the Knicks, its gonna happen.

Normally, I'm pretty skeptical of conspiracy theories, but this thing seems too well orchestrated with his entourage and one-hour specials and what not.

I agree with you that --if indeed it's LBJ to MSG-- then LeBron's people have a direct financial incentive to get the MSG stock as low as possible in the days leading up to his announcement. It also seems a little too coincidental that this Miami story leaked exactly at the same time that MSG stock saw a 10% spike.

We shall see.

And that source has to be at least 70 yrs old if using that truman reference

With the cap going up this year, and maybe next year, if they don't get Lebron I still feel we are in fine shape. The Knicks can always sign a player at 8M this year and have enough for Carmelo next year. More than enough to compete with the big 3 and crap.

The thing about the Beasley trade though. This would mean LeBron hasnt made up his mind?
Because why would the Heat try to move him if they already got him?
Even if he likes waiting to the last second to make a decision I dont think thats the case here, but then again why would Miami move Beasley if they know he has made up his mind.
I am the law, bitch!

Not really, I've seen a few younger people use that phrase. It's pretty well understood what it means, even today.

As for what the Knicks source said, it looks like they are hearing the same things we are hearing. They are hearing the Lebron to Miami rumors.

Let's wait until 9 PM. Hopefully Beasley isn't traded before then.

I assume Cleveland and Miami?

Interesting thanks.

I think Bulls and Knicks, been saying that for a while now since a few weeks back.

I thought that at first, but after reflecting on it a bit more, if he doesn't end up in NY, I'd rather he go to the Heat over any other team. They have no real history, a weak fanbase, and would almost instantly become one of the most hated teams in sports. Sure, there would be plenty of bandwagon fans, but the rest of teams would gang up in their dislike for New Big 3. LeBron would also be exposed as a huge p*ssy for grabbing onto the coat-tails of Wade and Bosh, instead of rising up to a challenge.

If he goes to Chicago, it almost becomes the Jordan Bulls again. Everybody's favorite player, everybody's favorite team. The villain aspect wouldn't be nearly as strong, and he'd be worshiped for carrying on Michael's tradition and returning the team and city to glory. The thought of this makes me want to vomit.

If he stays in Cleveland, there would be more parity in the East, which is good overall, but bad for the Knicks, who will hopefully be fighting for a playoff spot. If Cleveland loses LeBron, that's one more lottery team, that we won't have to worry about.

If ANYONE accpets a trade for Beasley at this stage they should be BANNED from the NBA. I cannot see how ANYONE could be that goddamn stupid to trade for him now.
