Hedo & Jose for Gasol!

Considering what I woke up to today, this would offset the Kleiza debacle!

k...back to reality......

Yes, I heard it as well.

The context of the comment was that Miami won't be that good cause a lot of other teams have great benches and complimentary pieces to their stars, while Miami won't be able to do that.

The discussion then turned to how teams have upgraded -- like Orlando getting Duhon and LA getting Blake and looking to trade for Turkoglu as a ball-handling big.

That was the gist of the conversation.

I will take anything from the Lakers for Hedo. I'll even take Walton and sign and trade for Morrison to make it happen.

Walton would come with one less year and about half the yearly cap hit.
And although he's not particularly talented, he at least is not lazy, which in itself would be a coup for this team, never mind the positive cap ramifications after this season when Vujacic expires.

Sure it does, if they can trade him for Luke Walton and Sasha Vujacic. Two guys who are doing nothing for them for a guy who could actually help. And it only costs them an extra $4 million or so a year above what they were going to have to pay Walton.

Saves us a bunch of money and aids our rebuilding effort. Not terrible.

The Lakers offer would probably be... Walton + Vuyacic

Walton's contract is pretty bad (3 yr/17 mil left) but it ends a year sooner than Hedo's so I would probably take it.

Either way, go for it.

Odom would not make this team significantly better. This would have us fighting for the 8th spot. Hopefully, we can do a three way, where we get younger players and let the true era of the Young Gunz begin!!

I'd rather take 3 years 17 million of Walton than 4 years 44 million of Turkoglu

So I guess it's pretty obvious then that Josh Powell gets included in the deal to convince Bosh ... oh right ... I forgot.
