Re: Cavs/Wolves talking Flynn?
Byron scott seems to think 30, but lets look at their lineup...
Varaejo - Z?
Hickson - Jamison
Jamison - Moon
Parker - West
Williams - Gibson
yikes... that rivals some of the KG led teams (pre Cassell/Sprewell) minus KG of course. Well good news for them is that Harrison Barnes is also from Ohio... or is Iowa, regardless, Im sure stern will make sure they win the lottery...

This ranks right up there with Lee visiting MN. We aren't getting Lee, and the Cavs are not getting Flynn.

Johny's not going anywhere. I bet we try and move sessions though.

There has been a tendency on the Trade Board for many Cavs fans to say, "This is what we want, and we don't care what you want."

In case it hasn't been mentioned, Flynn and LeBron have the same agent, and this might be him at work.

Jerry Zsgoda has twittered that Kahn is saying that they're definitely NOT trading Flynn.

We should just get JErry to ask Kahn directly about each player on the team, have Jerry twitter it, probably in a few different tweets(too many characters) and then we can really start to narrow down this offseason.

Re: Cavs/Wolves talking Flynn?
I think, if a deal were to happen, it would have to involve Hickson and/or the Cavs 1st. Hickson could be an interesting piece, as he is an athletic 4 who can play defense. That pick could be valuable too, though maybe not as much with Flynn on board there.
Now, we will really start to hear rumors flying...

Things like that are the reason why Kahn needs to shut up, as he is playing his hand too much.

Wouldn't think Kahn would trade one of his guys so quickly anyway.

Yep, my only real problem with how Kahn has handled this offseason.

Re: Cavs/Wolves talking Flynn?
My guess is that we offered Sessions, but they are wanting Flynn. Or they asked us about Flynn, and we countered with Sessions.

Re: Cavs/Wolves talking Flynn?
I don't buy that we're talking to just the Cavs about a Flynn deal. To me it makes perfect sense that there may be a 3-way deal brewing that would involve Portland. Portland reached out to the Cavs earlier this offseason about Mo Williams given their lack of a PG; the Cavs are interested in Flynn (I assume to go young once LBJ bolts); and it's been reported that the Wolves have talked to Portland about a deal involving Batum, LMA and Rudy. So with that said, I could see something like this happening:
MIN in: Aldridge, Batum, Rudy
MIN out: Love, Brewer, Flynn
Why? More athletic at PF, better SG/SF, friend of Rubio
POR in: Mo, Love, Brewer
POR out: Aldridge, Batum, Rudy
Why? A very good PG to win now, a rebounding PF, getting rid of a headache (Rudy)
CLE in: Flynn
CLE out: Mo
Why? An attempt to go young after LBJ leaves with a PG with a lot of potential.
... plus other fillers as necessary. Of the 3 teams, I'm not sure if Portland would pull the trigger, but who knows.

LOL. Can't wait to watch Lebron's announcement tonight and see him say Minnesota. ESPN would probably turn into a terrorist organization on the spot and start issuing threats and demands to Minnesotans. I guarantee you that if he mentions Minnesota the cameraman has standing orders to shoot to kill.

Re: Cavs/Wolves talking Flynn?
David Kahn wasn't going to talk to the media after this morning's summer-league team workouts at Target Center, but he decided to do so after word spread that he might be trading Jonny Flynn to Cleveland, perhaps in a last-ditch effort by the Cavs to keep LeBron James there.
This is what he said first:
"Jonny Flynn's not being traded."
Then he said this:
"At this time of year, as I've said I hope very candidly, everybody on our roster is open for discussion. But with Jonny, in the entire year that he has been ehre, we've had discussion about Jonny with a grand total of two teams in both cases, his agents have been appraised of it.
"We're not looking to move Jonny Flynn. At the same time, we're not in the position where we just say no, we won't talk. At this time of year, there's just a lot of talk. The proliferation of new media has added a new layer of seriousness to what really are kind of casual discussions into imminent moves. Typically, it doesn't work that way. Some deals are discussed literally for years before they come to fruition.
"For whatever reason, some teams feel it's important to put things out there as if it can actually change behavior. I don't think it has any impact on behavior one way or the other."
Flynn didn't talk to the media after the summer-league team worked out together this morning for the first time. A team spokesman said he'll talk tomorrow, which implies he'll still be a Timberwolf tomorrow.
You look at the Cavs roster and what's there that the Wolves would want, other than young power forward J.J. Hickson?

Flynn is one player that's safe right now, Kahn won't trade him unless he gets a star back.
