Pretty terrible 1st half for every pacer involved. Not having McBob and Lance out on the court killed us. That's pretty much half of our summer league scoring right there. Yeesh.

Yeah, this has just been a terrible game for everyone except maybe Magnum Rolle. Feel like the Pacers just have no energy and are getting outplayed at every aspect of the game. Hope that Stephenson is ok and they are just holding him out as a precaution.

Probably my favorite game of summer league so far. 27 pt comeback victory!!! That ish was crazy!!! 3-1 summer league record baby! Paul George with the game winning drive & free throw!!

I imagine a game winner, and 1 will be a big confidence boost for Paul. Was really glad they gave him the ball to make the last play.

Wow!!! The Pacers were down 27 at half-time. Comeback in the second half and win 86-85 on a Paul George move to the baseline, then a bucket with a foul and free throw for the win. George didn't have a great game to be honest. Shot terribly and over dribbled a lot. I think he was just really forcing the issue at times. However, he knocked down all of his free throws and still finished with 17pts, 6reb, and 3stl. Magnum Rolle was easily the player of the game for the Pacers. He brought energy and finished with 19pts, 11reb, and 3 steals of his own. Great comeback for the Pacers. Hopefully Stephenson will be able to play tomorrow. It's a shame he got knocked out of this game early.

I watched the last five minutes.... from the sound of it I am lucky not to have watched any sooner. Of course Magnum played very well, he has made his case imo...

Even though George struggled a bit, I do see the potential oozing from his 6'9" frame. Defensively he has played so well that I believe he'll be able to defend three positions, in due time.

wow didn't think they could do it, especially without lance and McRob, but they pulled through and got it done.

He bumped knees (possibly a thigh) with a Celtics player. I think he just has a deep bruise, but I didn't hear anything official. I think they just held him out as a precaution.

Magnum Rolle really has earned a roster spot and a real shot with at least spot minutes during the season.

Yeah, I'm wondering if Solo Jones is wishing he could've played summer league now to get a head start on defending his roster spot against Magnum.

Summer league or not I don't see Solo in our plans. He is pretty much insurance in case of an injury. I think Magnum can play 2 spots but is more of a PF. Well maybe not in JOB's system since he isn't Reggie, but in most cases he is a PF.

Except, Solo has a guaranteed $1.5 million contract this year, while Rolle does not.

True, but moving forward Magnum will get a contract, IMO and Solo will be gone next summer or maybe the deadline.

We already have 13 guys under contract, without counting Rolle or Stephenson. Signing both of those guys puts us at the limit of 15.

However, Bird wants to sign at least 1, if not 2 free agent PG's. Sure, we could possibly make a move with Ford and bring one guy in that way, but that means that any signings of PG's means that Solo and Rolle are likely battling for the last spot. Many times, the guaranteed contracts get in the way, though the Pacers have proved that it may not matter going back to cutting a guaranteed James White in favor of a non-guaranteed Stephen Graham.

Unless Magnum falls on his face in training camp I think Solo is toast guaranteed contract or not. Did he show enough last year to be tradeable?

The way Magnum and Lance have played thus far and from the coaching reports during the offseason training camp there is no way the pacers don't sign these guys.

I'd go nucking futs if we're not gonna sign both our 2nd rounders.
I'm pretty optimistic there would be a trade to land a PG whether a capable starter or just a pretty serviceable point. With that trade, hopefully we could package two players to give us a chance to sign a cheap FA to fill the roster.
