Didn't people learn with the Celtics a couple of years ago when they joined Pierce with Allen and KG plus a roster unable to win 30 games?
Wade+Bosh+Bron is vastly superior to the big 3 of Boston and they won it in their first year, nearly won it this year with their stars being 50 years old and last year the Magic made history by beating them.

Wade, Bosh and Bron coupled with the whistles and 10 dead bodies in the roster are by far the best team in the league.

If there is a time for Otis to panic, this is it.

If Bron stayed in Cleveland I'd say we'd still be on par with Cleveland and Boston and only a notch behind LA.
If Bron went to NY I'd only be worried with Boston and LA.

Now I'm absolutely sure that the Magic can't reach the finals anytime soon with this roster, even if some minor tweaks are done.

I'm usually on the positive side, but this is just too obvious to try and smile about our chances.

Yeah I'm saying it! Lebron or Wade will force a trade next season after this fails. Bosh got abused by Rashard Lewis. There starting center is Joel Anthony. Are you seriously giving us no chance? Boston
was taken to 7 games by the Hawks and Cavs, Pistons and 6 games by the Lakers that championship season. They had a big 5 and James Posey to win that title. The Heat have no role players yet and want me shaking in my boots?

We have DWIGHT HOWARD. You keep forgetting what Shaq, Wilt, Hakeem and Kareem did in there prime. Dwight is more athletic and a much better defender and entering scary territory. They can't stop DWIGHT. I'm not even worried.

Mike Miller offer is still on the table. All they have to do is find a big guy to play center. I'm sure there will be a ring chaser willing to take on the minimum for that.

I'm not even sure the Magic are in the top 3 in the East right now. Miami, obviously, but the Boozer deal makes Chicago a very scary team. And Boston is bringing back the big guys, so they're still a threat. Is there any reason at all to be optimistic right now?

Oh wait, we got Duhon.

Like I said, there aren't even any good ring chasers to choose from.

OK, so they let Dwight go crazy. He's scored what... 45 on his very best night? That's childsplay for Lebron and Wade. We might not even have Barnes back to guard one of them. WE NEED A LOT OF HELP. We need a SCORER and a we need a lock down defender. Getting Barnes back should be a dire priority for us. Out of our bench fodder we need to try to get a scorer.

Maybe not optimistic but not ignorant and acting like the sky is falling.

I'll break this down one more time...

We have Jameer Nelson at point. The best options for Miami at point are Jason Williams & Earl Watson. Jameer would destroy both.

They have Wade. We can maybe put up a fight with Peaches guarding him.

They have LeBron.....yeah. We lose that one pretty bad.

They have Bosh. Lewis has done a great job on Bosh in the past.

We have Dwight...they will have arguably the worst defense against Dwight in the entire league unless they can snatch up Shaq. Otherwise...it will be Dwight's easiest matchup in the entire league.

The matchup for us really is not THAT bad. Will we win? I have no f'in clue.

Bottom line though...we match up well and WILL CONTEND!!!

Unless Orlando is willing to do what it takes to get Paul here, we are effed.

I am not usually a panic guy, but we need to panic. The NBA has continue conspired against us giving Gasol to La and now setting this up. Unless we go balls out, our window is closed.

Let's get drunk.

Dwight scores 30 but keeps Wade and Lebron from driving to the hoop. Our role players step up and destroy their bench. Rupaul is helpless we knock them out in 5.

how you guys think howard is enough to overcome 2 of the top 3 players in the league today, joined by another top 10 player is beyond me... you realize howard still stinks at free throws right? you realize that he is still foul prone, especially now with lebron and wade on the same team right... if howard couldnt overcome kendrick perkins and rasheed wallace... hell even baby davis held his own... wat makes u think he is gona be wade bosh and lebron

Otis HAS to make this team better. Period. Point. Blank.

If Orlando is not a true tile contender 2 summers from now, Dwight WILL leave to try to overthrow the new "Big Three" and get that ring.

I don't care how far we have to go into the luxury tax, Otis NEEDS to make this team better.

I would do everything in my power to land CP3 if I were Otis. Hell, I'd take on BOTH Posey's AND Okafor's conracts even though they'd be very deep into the LT.

Return to Orlando Magic
