Has there been any reaction from current cavs players?

Post#1 » by celticpride17 » Fri Jul 9, 2010 2:04 am

Just wondering if any of the cavs players said anything about lebrons decision,I'm pretty sure some of the players are mad or at least unhappy, mostly though i feel sorry for the city of cleveland they deserve better than this! :(

Not yet. I'm sure lots will come out tomorrow...from the players, front office, everyone.

I hope the players get traded to contenders. They played hard in the playoffs when LeBron gave up, they don't deserve to be in mediocrity for years. Especially Z, I hope a contender offers him the vet min. After all he's been through in his career, he deserves to **** win. I wish it would've been in a Cavs jersey...but I just want the guy to have a ring, period.

Mo's just taking the high road. I have no doubt every single one of players is seriously pissed right now.

If the Cavs wanted to give a big FU to LeBron they could trade all their best players to the Magic, Celtics and Lakers and get back tons of picks and expirings and go after a #1 and land some free agents.

I think if the Cavs do that they will get lotto picks for years and the above mentioned teams can hold off the Heat until the Cavs have a Thunder-esc team with young talent to beat Missing In Action

I'm sure the ones that are his real friends on the team are happy that he's in a better situation. I'm also sure that they're hoping that a rebuilding program will enable them to find themselves on a better team as well.

Why? Is Lebron losing sleep over leaving them in a worse situation?

They may say that they are happy for him, but they would have to be chumps to actually feel that way.

Why?.

Because that is what friends do? Sheesh. Ofcourse they'll be depressed that he's leaving them, but if they're not happy that he can truly advance his career elsewhere, they are a bunch of scrubs.

Would you be happy to see your talented friend wasting away his career at a place where improvement is hardly possible? Even if it's where you're also employed?

Apparently you think that "friendship" is a one way street. Again, is Lebron all broken up over the fact that his "friends" are now in a worse situation due to his decision?

Lebron threw his "friends" under the bus when he declared that they were too big a bunch of scrubs to help him win a championship.

He "came out" the best in all of this.

mo williams posted a lot of truth and disappointment in his twitter. I'm a laker fan but still feeling the pain 24 hours later for u guys and the whole nba as a whole that it all went down like that. I just thought bron was a greater "competitor" than to just join up with wade and bosh in order to win as opposed to battling against them to prove he and his hometown are the best.. .

It's annoying to heard Laker fans talk when Pau Gasol was traded to them for a box of Toaster Strudel.

You won't hear teammates criticizing him because they understand this is a business. Do you see Raptors players going off on Bosh? It's their job, and they'd leave too if it was in their best interest and they were able. Simple as that.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
