Anybody think of this:

The new Big Three will dominate the next couple of years.

THEN

Carmelo will join Amare in NY next summer.

THEN

Dwight will join them in NY in 2012 to try to counter Miami.

all apart of Otis' plan. he lets the heat have their moment, only to steal their thunder by trading for chris paul.

I'll break this down one more time...

We have Jameer Nelson at point. The best options for Miami at point are Jason Williams & Earl Watson. Jameer would destroy both.

They have Wade. We can maybe put up a fight with Peaches guarding him.

They have LeBron.....yeah. We lose that one pretty bad.

They have Bosh. Lewis has done a great job on Bosh in the past.

We have Dwight...they will have arguably the worst defense against Dwight in the entire league unless they can snatch up Shaq. Otherwise...it will be Dwight's easiest matchup in the entire league.

The matchup for us really is not THAT bad. Will we win? I have no f'in clue.

Bottom line though...we match up well and WILL CONTEND!!!

You keep talking about one-on-one matchups. When you have maybe the best three-man combination in the history of the NBA to spread the floor, matchups go out the window. As soon as Lewis steps in to block a driving Wade, he passes to Bosh for an open jumper. Bosh posts up against Dwight, kick out to Lebron, adjustment, no look pass to a streaking Wade for a layup. These are the kinds of plays that we should all get used to reading about.

You know I'm a Magic man, through and through Tar, but come on, man. You can't just close your eyes, click your heels three times and pretend everything's going to be okay. This is an absolutely terrifying trio that you absolutely cannot brush under the rug like this.

Or he and Carmelo join the Knicks the next two summers to team up with Amare.

Matchups. Just wait.

I am not saying we will win...just that it would be a hell of a series.

You are all putting way too much stock in to those 3 guys and forgetting that this is a team sport. The rest of their roster will potentially be the worst supporting cast in the history of the league. Us on the other hand have one of the best supporting casts in the league.

BECAUSE BIG MEN win championships. Michael, Scottie and Dennis Rodman would have gone down to the Shaq led Lakers. When we think of championship what comes to mind? Bill Russell! Wilt Chamberlain! Magic and Kareem! Hakeem Olajuwan! Shaq! Tim Duncan! And yeah Jordan got 6 but Lebron and Wade are not Jordan and Pippen. Bottom line: Look at the rest of the list. We are in great shape.

He isn't. The NBA is a stars league. Both LeBron and Wade were tough to beat on one man teams. Together and with Bosh, it won't happen unless an injury does.

And that is not even mentioning all the title chasing old guys they will get on the cheap.

I think Otis needs to seriosuly consider taking on both Posey's and Okafor's contract to get CP3.

Apparently that was the hold up. Otis didn't want to go that far into the LT so he tried to find a third team to take on Okafor's contract but was unable, then the trade was dead.

He needs to do whatever is possible to counter LBJ to Miami.

Didn't people learn with the Celtics a couple of years ago when they joined Pierce with Allen and KG plus a roster unable to win 30 games?
Wade+Bosh+Bron is vastly superior to the big 3 of Boston and they won it in their first year, nearly won it this year with their stars being 50 years old and last year the Magic made history by beating them.

Wade, Bosh and Bron coupled with the whistles and 10 dead bodies in the roster are by far the best team in the league.

If there is a time for Otis to panic, this is it.

If Bron stayed in Cleveland I'd say we'd still be on par with Cleveland and Boston and only a notch behind LA.
If Bron went to NY I'd only be worried with Boston and LA.

Now I'm absolutely sure that the Magic can't reach the finals anytime soon with this roster, even if some minor tweaks are done.

I'm usually on the positive side, but this is just too obvious to try and smile about our chances.

Its 3 ball dominant players. It will fail.

Also, for those that are saying Miami won't win because they have scrubs outside of the Big Three; that's BS.

LeBron won 65 games the last two years playing with scrubs.

Now he's playing with scrubs + Wade + Bosh

Wade won 45 games last season playing with scrubs

Now he's gunna play with scrubs + LeBron + Bosh

The NBA is in serious trouble.

Lebron (29.7) + Wade (26.6) + Bosh (24.0) = 80.3 ppg.

Regarding the supporting cast, you gotta figure nine drunk babies could get you the other 30 points you'd need to beat most teams.

That would be Dwight's job to step in...leaving whoever Miami's $h!tty center is open.

Rashard would be on Bosh

Again...we have the best defensive player in the game in the paint.

If you are going to come up with plays that hurt us...at least make them accurate.

It is a crazy good trio...but just as good as the three are you can't ignore how bad everything else will be and how we actually do match up well against them...better than any other team will.

I am not usually a panic guy, but we need to panic. The NBA has continue conspired against us giving Gasol to La and now setting this up. Unless we go balls out, our window is closed.

Let's get drunk.

I like that suggestion. Inebriation might indeed be the best course of action after hearing this god awful news.

Either Otis Smith pulls off an insane stunt to create another "Super Team" here in Orlando or we are pretty much done.

That's the first thing I thought about when Lebron made this announcement.

Something needs to happen in Orlando. Soon.

You can coun't on none of them averaging over 25 PPG...book it. Let them have 60-70 PPG all day, their other guys won't be able to score 30+.
