The Cavs are not scrubs. Lebron won 65 games with an allstar PG Mo Williams, Lebron and some good big men. Shaq, Varejao, Z, Antawn Jamison, JJ Hickson. Not scrubs. They built that team for Lebron. It's going to take the Heat a year or two to put together a good team around those three. yes they will go deep in the playoffs with just those three and scrubs. But in the end. Boston, Orlando and L.A. beats Miami. Now add a trade here. A trade there and some MLE players and better ring chasing vets and Miami is going to be dangerous. Right now though we got Dwight and they got two ball dominant super stars and rupaul.

I can honestly and confidently say that individually Mo Williams, Shaq, Big Z, Boobie, Delonte, V, Hickson, Jamison, Anthony Parker, and Jamario Moon will each be better than any single player the Miami Heat add to their roster.

I'll break this down one more time...

We have Jameer Nelson at point. The best options for Miami at point are Jason Williams & Earl Watson. Jameer would destroy both.

They have Wade. We can maybe put up a fight with Peaches guarding him.

They have LeBron.....yeah. We lose that one pretty bad.

They have Bosh. Lewis has done a great job on Bosh in the past.

We have Dwight...they will have arguably the worst defense against Dwight in the entire league unless they can snatch up Shaq. Otherwise...it will be Dwight's easiest matchup in the entire league.

The matchup for us really is not THAT bad. Will we win? I have no f'in clue.

Bottom line though...we match up well and WILL CONTEND!!!

You keep talking about one-on-one matchups. When you have maybe the best three-man combination in the history of the NBA to spread the floor, matchups go out the window. As soon as Lewis steps in to block a driving Wade, he passes to Bosh for an open jumper. Bosh posts up against Dwight, kick out to Lebron, adjustment, no look pass to a streaking Wade for a layup. These are the kinds of plays that we should all get used to reading about.

You know I'm a Magic man, through and through Tar, but come on, man. You can't just close your eyes, click your heels three times and pretend everything's going to be okay. This is an absolutely terrifying trio that you absolutely cannot brush under the rug like this.

Bull****. You think that those 3 would actually pass the ball? And that play doesnt have anything to do with the other 2 guys on the floor. Thats just ballhogging and no ballhogging team has ever won an NBA Championship.

And what about Defense? You think that Lebron and Wade are actually willing to play defense? Chris Bosh is already the most overrated big man in the league. Lets say they face LA with a lineup of Blake-Kobe-Artest-Gasol-Bynum. You think that Bosh will actually guard Gasol or Bynum effectively? Wade and Lebron will scramble all over the place and have no chemistry whatsoever. Those 2 guys will both want to guard Steve Blake while Artest will hit an open 3.

What about the bench? What will they average? like about a combined 5 points and 5 rebounds on 5 minutes of play?

Every single championship team has a good bench and good role players. Derek Fisher, Bruce Bowen, Kendrick Perkins... The Detroit Pistons of 2004 were ALL role players.

For those of you that are saying Miami has no center that can stop Dwight, they won't need one when Dwight fouls out by halftime because Wade and LeBron drive to the basket every time down the court.

There aren't even any good ring chasers. If they some how convinced Shaq to go from the vet min then they would have something but there is just nothing for them to get.

Ummmm........... It's called NBA refs, it will be 6(LBJ, Bosh, Wade, Ref, Ref,Ref) vs 5 every night.

Not for nothing but this is why I sit back and propose alot of "present day" bullsh*t trades that keep us competitive but also capable of competing for FA's in the future.

Perfect example is alot of you guys want Vince Carter off the damn team so bad but his contract is vry helpful for either a game changing player now (I'd ONLY use him to get Chris Paul) or making a play for a superstar later (Carmelo Anthony 2011).

That's why SCOUTING and DRAFTING is so key.

You wanna find a diamond in the rough like the Spurs do to be able to have a "cheap" young stud to go along w/ a VC contract to put yourself in a position to trade for a Carmelo Anthony.

Dwight needs some help.....ASAP and if we're on top of our game, we start figuring out if a financially hurting team will trade a superstar or star player (Paul or Iggy). If not, you put your team in a position to to acquire a FA like Miami, Chicago, NY, etc did.

Whole different discussion but I actually think it would be better for the NBA if the big 3 lost...

Magic have until 12:01 until the TPE expires

According to Hollinger and Ford and those ESPN guys, the ONLY THING that gives the Magic a slight advantage over other teams is the TPE so they can absorb contracts that NO wants to dump.

If the magic have

ANY

CHANCE

to even remotely.... come close to respond to the shockwaves that just went thru the NBA,

they gotta get CP3 ASAP.

Not so they can win next season or even the year after, but just to extend the championship window for this team for at least next 7-10 years. This trade will at least GIVE THEM A CHANCE...to at least HAVE SOME HOPE...

THAT'S THE ONLY WAY !!!

Short of that...and short of a miracle...I dont know what to say

Nobody drives on Dwight every play because he's a D monster. They are afraid of Dwight. Lebron is and will always be a scared punk. He's not driving it against Dwight because he knows he will end up on the floor with a hard foul. Wade might drive. But that shoulder might not feel too good when he ends up on the floor. Rupaul? He's going to stand away and take his jumpshots. Wade is going to take jumpshots. Lebron is going to take jumpshots. Thats a dangerous game when playing the magic.

Do you have any idea how many vets will line up to gravy train titles. They will fill there roster with vet minimum guys like Jay Will, Big Z, TMac, and Brad Miller.

There will be tons of those guys lining up just like they did with Boston when they got the big 3.

I doubt that

HOMEROVERDOSE.

Both Lebron and Wade averaged more APG than anyone who suited up for the Magic last year. That's just a big fat lie. As big as their egos may be off the court, on the court they are both unselfish as they come.

If the Heat are "ball-hogging" what does that make Orlando?

People saying 3 ball dominant guys won't work, need to pull their heads out the sand. Lebron and Wade are the TOP 5 players in the league. Bosh possibly in the TOP 10. Just because they're ball dominant doesn't mean it won't work. Lebron excels in scoring, passing, rebound, and can play sound D when he feels like it. Again Wade can do the same, and he likes to steal gamble, and play the passing lanes. Bosh can score from the post, mid-range and rebound. These guys will be tough to stop just because they can make amazing plays and get to the free throw line. For people doubting these 3 guys saying it won't work or will FAIL really don't know what will happen. You'll have to wait until the playoffs are then make that decision. Because during the next year regular season these guys will be giving the rest of the league hell. It won't or shouldn't take alot to surround pretty decent players around them. We'll see, but the Heat are definitely a dangerous team right now.

The Rashard Lewis contract is the anchor that will cost us. If we had a true max wing player we wouldn't be that worried. We would already had 2 guys as good as them. Unless we luck out and get a Chris Paul trade this team going to have a tough time.

The only records that team will break is free throws attempted.

Your worried about the Bulls really? Boozer is good but lets not go overboard there. Maybe Boston if healthy can cause us trouble. But I'm looking ahead. Orlando and L.A. in the championship.

Return to Orlando Magic
