If Dwight doesn't get any help (sorry, Jameer Nelson cannot continue to be the 2nd best player on the team), what makes his situation any different than LeBron's was? He'll continue to reach the ECF only to be bounced by the Heat. And if that goes on a 'rinse, repeat' cycle, I assure you that he'll be looking to find a new home come 2012.

Now is the time. It's do or die.

And by the way... For people that are using the Celtics in 2008 as an example... The Heat are NOTHING like them.

"Boston had the big 3 and nothing else" is complete BS. Do you ACTUALLY think that Rajon Rondo is not even a role player? Mario Chalmers is NOTHING compared to Rondo. They also had probably the best Dwight stopper in the league in Kendrick Perkins. Tony Allen was the Kobe-Stopper, Eddie House wasn't bad, And Glen Davis averages 17 & 8 in less than 30 minutes of play.
On that team, Rondo was given the keys to the offense while Paul Pierce , Ray Allen and KG all played well off the ball. They didnt have ego and waited for an open pass.

Wade and Lebron are 2 players that NEED the ball. And you're telling me that they're also adding another PG? C'mon this isnt the All star game.

According to Hollinger and Ford and those ESPN guys, the ONLY THING that gives the Magic a slight advantage over other teams is the TPE so they can absorb contracts that NO wants to dump.

If the magic have

ANY

CHANCE

to even remotely.... come close to respond to the shockwaves that just went thru the NBA,

they gotta get CP3 ASAP.

Not so they can win next season or even the year after, but just to extend the championship window for this team for at least next 7-10 years. This trade will at least GIVE THEM A CHANCE...to at least HAVE SOME HOPE...

THAT'S THE ONLY WAY !!!

Short of that...and short of a miracle...I dont know what to say

FML

If we let our TPE expire, we have 0.00000000% chance of getting CP3.

You would be correct my friend.

Do you have any idea how many vets will line up to gravy train titles. They will fill there roster with vet minimum guys like Jay Will, Big Z, TMac, and Brad Miller.

There will be tons of those guys lining up just like they did with Boston when they got the big 3.

Jay Will...I hope he goes so we have a great matchup at PG and Jameer can destroy him...and then Jason Williams' legs crap out on his like they did on us.

T-Mac...I hope he goes as well so he can be out for the entire season after 10 games.

Brad Miller will take more money.

Big Z is staying in Cleveland or retiring.

If any team has a chance of competing with Miami, it is us. We have better players at the 1 and 5 and the reigning DPOY.

Bring it on.

HOMEROVERDOSE.

Both Lebron and Wade averaged more APG than anyone who suited up for the Magic last year. That's just a big fat lie. As big as their egos may be off the court, on the court they are both unselfish as they come.

If the Heat are "ball-hogging" what does that make Orlando?

LOL? so you're just reading the stats on all of those 3 guys' APG numbers.... WHILE ON THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAMS LAST YEAR.

Those APG numbers WON'T translate into this years because of the fact that you now have 2 guys that need the ball to create their on shot.

You say that both Wade and Lebron averaged more assists than anyone who's suited up for the magic last year. Well, welcome but under SVG's system, you don't get much assists. Chris Paul can come in and average around 8 assists.

I also did nothing to harm you or make you cry.. And you call me HOMEROVERDOSE?

THIS is GOOD!!!

Miami will not be able to fill out there roster for at least 2 years.
Boston is going to be old.
Cleveland is done.
NY is done.
CHI will be better but not better than us.

We own the east! (Trust me)

wade and lebron are redundant offensivley.... bosh isn't a defensive presence whatsoever.... sure wade and lebron can play defense, but how tired your think they will get having to hustle both ends? ..... 82 games..... playoffs.....

I also wouldn't put the heat bench consisting of J-Will Michael Finley Tracy McGrady JJ Hickson and Shawn Bradley over the LA Lakers bench (which is already terrible)

And those 5 players will still be miles better than the D-leaguers they'll get.

No. We won't.

If Mike Miller signs in Miami tonight, Dwyane Wade will play PG. No way Miller is gonna be a 6th man.

Wade (Chalmers)| Miller| James| Bosh| Anthony?

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Well since we have no shot at winning and everyone on this board is completely on board with the fact we have no chance...can we just lock up all the threads and close down the site?

It is just going to be annoying thread after annoying thread about how good Miami is and how they are going to beat the crap out of us because we aren't as good.

That makes no sense. Why the hell wouldn't Miller be 6th man? Why would he start? He would never touch the ball.

You bring him off the bench so you don't have 5 D-Leaguers on the floor and you actually have someone that can score.

I call you homeroverdose because you only want to see the worst-case scenario for Miami.

I'm calling it now. Lebron will start at PG. He will sacrifice his scoring and D-Wade will be their go-to scorer. Lebron is perfectly happy to defer. In Cleveland he had no one to defer too... now he has Wade and Bosh.

Call me a pessimist, but I'm being a realist. They don't need too much help from free-agents to become one of the greatest forces of NBA history.

Otis has to do whatever it takes to get Chris Paul here and if possible Al Jefferson. Trade Nelson, trade Carter, use the TPE, do whatever it takes. If he doesn't do that, then there's no way this team has a chance of making it to the finals. I would like to see Carter stay if possible since I'm a fan of his but I rather see Orlando improve and be able to beat the Heat and the other teams in the East.

In a perfect world I would like to see this happen:

Chris Paul for Jameer + Pietrus

James Posey for TPE

Al Jefferson for Gortat + Bass

Resign Redick

New Roster:

Paul/Duhon
Carter/Redick
Lewis/Posey
Jefferson/Anderson
Howard/Orton
