Lebron is by far the best player in the NBA and you all are gonna see it next season when for the first time in his career he will have good teammates.

A dynasty was born today. Next years Heat will be the best NBA team ever period.

I don't know if it was ever a huge question but Lebron saying it will be a 5 year deal.

Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy labeled the Miami Heat the "favorite" to win the 2010-11 Eastern Conference championship minutes after LeBron James announced that he will join the Miami Heat and play alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

"I think that certainly on paper they have to be the favorite," Van Gundy said after he was reached by phone Thursday night. "You can talk about needing time and the whole thing. But face it, Boston did it in the first year with the three guys [Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce] together. As good as those guys are, they were a little bit older at the time.

"You've got three guys right in their prime. You have to make them the favorites in the East on paper. Then, Los Angeles, as the two-time defending champions, you can't write them off."

Congrats on Lebron. Knick fan obviously but can't hate on what you did. Don't let the haters get to you because in all honesty if their team did the same they wouldn't be complaining. You guys are going to be near impossible to beat. So enjoy the run (true fans)...

President Pat Riley's statement: “We are thrilled that LeBron James and Chris Bosh have decided to come to Miami to join forces with our truly great player, Dwyane Wade. We are looking forward to the opportunity of building something that our fans in Miami will be proud of for a long, long time. The journey is just beginning.”

One interesting note, players tend to be the most motivated in the first year after trades/signings how does that play out in 10-11? We may have a better team 2-3-4 years from now but will the motivation at the very least be a little bit lower?

Dwyane Wade's statement: “I am thrilled to welcome LeBron James to the HEAT family. I look forward to playing alongside LeBron, Chris Bosh and our teammates, and together representing the great city of Miami. There's magic in the number 3. This is the beginning of new chapter in HEAT history and very exciting for both fans of the Miami HEAT and the NBA.”

I'mma go ahead and say it. Miami is the best team in the NBA. I don't even know how you can dispute it. Wade took scrubs to 47 wins and he didn't even give a damn half the season. You KNOW he's gonna be motivated to win a championship. That's all I need to know about this team.

It just made too much sense to me .. Sure you had NY with the hype .. You had Chicago claiming the more complete stating 5 ( but I'll jump in and say starting 5 does not compete with Superstars) .. then you had the rest.

Miami was clearly the real choice and I saw it from a mile away .. Kobe was running away with championships and there was a need to stop that team, you would not do it with potential players aka Rose and Noah, you needed the TRUE and proven players to compete against them.. LBJ sounds like a very savy basketball guy and smart guy .. he saw this from a mile away and he needed to counter.

Another thing is the financial side of this universal and monumental move . now the universe will be looking and the offers will knocking at their door to offer whatever is needed to get a piece of this .. national tv ratings will be off the roof following the SUPERTEAM .. I saw it from a mile away.

The cities of god were left in total ko's .. see ESPN proved me right, and I love it.

It just made to much sense for Lebron to take this once in a lifetime opportunity that comes, well, once in a lifetime.

WOW I AM DREAMING!

In my honest opinion as a Raps fan, the Heat should be forever indebted to Jerry Colangelo and Team USA for taking these guys in and giving them an opportunity to play with each other and go through the struggles of having high expectations to win it all. Since the three have played together and know that they can co-exist on the floor and meet those great expectations together, it only seemed fitting that all 3 sign in the same place.

That said, Pat Riley is a GENIUS.
