OT: does it make you mad Phoenix gets no national attention

Does it infuriate you that even at something that is noteworthy of being labeled as America's most depressing and hardest to be a fan of sports city Phoenix never gets any mention.

Sure Cleveland is a legit candidate but Phoenix has to be the 2nd hardest.

We've won 1 title here. Suns have been close several times more times than the Cavaliers have been for sure.

I hate how the perils and anguishes and the suffering of Suns fans goes unnoticed. It's like we don't even exist or matter. It's just like oh that's Phoenix small market team.

Anyone feel that way?

We need a brazen bold GM and a dedicated owner to turn this around. We have the right head coach time to put new faces in the organization

But I have to disagree about phoenix being 2nd in that category. Granted, I'm not from their nor have I lived there(visited once; great place), but I think Phoenix has had it worse. Cleveland at least got lebron, but I mean Phoenix didn't get Lew Alcindor...

I mean Lebron leaving Cleveland is horrible. That's just unimaginable. That's Amare leaving Phoenix times 5. That'd be like Fitz leaving the Cardinals maybe even worse. Regardless I don't think any city has to deal with the crap we deal with on a day to day game to game basis. It's hard to be an AZ sports fan.

I've never seen so many out of state fans at other games. It's not as bad with the Suns in fact only the Lakers, the Celtics to a degree the Pistons to a degree get other teams fans maybe nuggets and jazz in recent years because they're winning but Dbacks and Cardinals any major market team or any team it seems with Cardinals get tons of fans and tons of fans who say Arizona sucks no titles blah blah blah.

I'm tired of it

I'd like Phoenix to be recognized in general for anything. Seems we don't even matter or exist to the sports world

Why do you want to feel special? Just enjoy the team. Hell, a great deal of the RealGM ticker has Phoenix featured. I bet we were in the top 5 for appearances for the last few years.

i totally get what your saying, but at the same time we really haven't done anything to get recognized, last season was a pretty magical season for us, but at the same time we really didn't get a chance to be remembered or recognized for our amazing season in the offseason cuz EVERYONE was focused on LEBRON 2010.

I think LBJ leaving Cleveland is more like 100 times worse cause we actually tried to trade Amar'e whereas Cleveland has always been alongside LeBron up until now.

But other than that yes I agree with you.

yup I agree and I think thats what makes this team so special because its like a rare gem hidden in a league of egotistic superstars and divas. Suns have a real team with players who play to win and give everything they got because what else are they going to do? Pity gets the suns no where they don't need the media's pity thats a cheap way of getting attention. What they did last year was the best way possible for them to get attention they went up to the best team and made them fight for their lives with a team that wasn't even supposed to make playoffs but kobe had to play the best series he has played in his career for them to even advance. Thats how you get the right attention not but sitting their and complaining about how tough you have had it over the years.
