SuperCOOLBeas
I'm going to miss this guy. Take good care of him
Treat him as your best player because he has the potential to be better than AL with the defense.
Give him 36mp and stick with him. The guys enormous talent, you guys got a steal in Beasley, I wish he could have stayed on heat to prove everyone he would be one of the best PFs in the game..
Bealsey avg 20 8 without Wade in the lineup, and 20 and 9 with Haslem injured..
Heat were 14 and 4 when Beasley played more than 36 mpg
Beasley's FG% is sky high in the clutch, so hopefully he closes games..
Don't believe the media, the guy is a solid player, and has a heck of a work ethic, even when he found out he was possibly being traded he told Riley that he'd like to stay on the heat. This guy is a tremendous talent, and I have no doubt he'll thrive here as the best player on Minny.

4 minute mark
"DK whatz up? Not at Minnesota. You're in Minnesota right now? How cold are you? How cold are you? Just tell me...you're really cold in this summer time...you can come visiting me where ever I go but Minnesota will not be it!"
You better buy some winter jackets Michael Beasley...
Adding Beasley for a 2nd round pick is great value but we should probably consider him trade bait once he has improved his value because he will leave Minnesota when he's an UFA the latest.

He's probably just like every other person in America who thinks Minnesota has antarctic weather 24/7. Once he gets here and finds out how nice it is, as well as presumably the support of a FO that believes in him and a good group of young guys to hang with I doubt he'll just leave.

Re: SuperCOOLBeas
All I got to say is I want to see Beasley go into Rocky IV mode. Leave the comforts of Florida behind and train like the beast you are and transform into not only a superstar basketball player, but I man that can unite the world with one line:
If I can change... you can change... everybody can change. cue music.

It's his franchise if he wants it.

He'll have a lot of work to do to develop into a franchise player.

What does Minny want with this guy? They can't even give Love 30 minutes a game.

Re: SuperCOOLBeas
contract... the offseason is not over yet.... stay tuned. I honestly see Al, Love, and Brewer all dealt this offseason.
Beasley fills a role that we severly need. A guy a with a go-to-scorer mentality and the ability to create his own shot. In an uptempo offense he is nearly an ideal 4-man and in the triangle he will function in the Kobe role (obviously not comparing the two) as the scorer.
He does have a lot to work to do, but the talent is there.

At least there are guys out there that still believe Beasley will be a beast.

Boy are you in for a disappointment. Think "Amare Stoudemire" ... then think smaller, less explosive, less athletic ... and not nearly the finisher ... and maybe even less decisive with the ball ... and that's Michael Beasley.
Basically he's a mid range jump shooter and not much more.

Beasley shot 40% from 3 in his rookie season.

And 28% from 3 last season. He isn't a 3 pt shooter, and thankfully he isn't confused about that.

Amen, dude got sick talent. Just a target of the media.
He put up 15 and 6 in 30 mins on a playoff team as a 21 year old kid, no reason why he shouldn't improve and Minneapolis is a great place to do that right now.

Problem is there is more to being a starter than just offense. Beasley may easily be our best offensive weapon right now, but as someone who actually watched more Heat games last year than most non-MIA fans...his defense and effort is horrendous(slight exaggeration, but not by much)...having the talent to do something and doing it are two completely different things. You can make excuses all you want about why he played like that...but excuse some of us for being slightly skeptical.
He couldn't get motivated by playing with one of the best players in the world, with one of the better coaches in NBA history...it is safe to say I have doubts.
And I know you come in to every thread saying he should start...and if he shows some effort, and a little interest rebounding and playing defense, than he should be the starter, cause he is a superior offensive player to Love, but right now Love gets the nod because of his rebounding, ability to the ball, and familiarity with the offense.

He's far more skilled then Amare, and better at creating his own offense. He's a cross between Melo and Amare if you're talking about skill-set. He'll be a star if he puts the work in no doubt.contract wrote:prefuse73 wrote:contract... the offseason is not over yet.... stay tuned. I honestly see Al, Love, and Brewer all dealt this offseason.

edit: @ guy above, his defense is miles better then Love's, and this is from someone who watched nearly every Heat game last season.

Re: SuperCOOLBeas
What is the mpg breakdown with Beasley/Love? Seems like one guy is going to be screwed (and maybe both).
