Lets get Anderson Varejao

Post#1 » by cfan79 » Fri Jul 9, 2010 2:38 pm

He has to be available after what happened with Lebron. I'm sure Cleveland is cleaning house and getting rid of all their big contracts.

Varejao and D.West

for

Rasheed, Baby, Lafayette

New Roster

O'neal/Perkins/Erden
KG/Varejao/Harangody
Pierce/Free Agent/Gaffney
R.Allen/T.Allen
Rondo/D.West/Bradley

I like Varejao, but not West. He's scrappy, but that's about it. I don't see him getting PT here unless they let TA go.

Varejao is the best player left on that crappy team. No way the Cavs trade him unless it is for a heckuva lot more than this.

He would give Rondo some rest. Rajon looked totally spent last season. He needs to have someone solid backing him up. Who knows about Bradley or whether we can afford Nate.

Well if they are going to tank all the way it would be best to trade him. They are paying him too much for a rebuilding team.

Sheed and Baby are either retiring or an expiring contract.

Cleveland is not going to have a firesale. The Cavs fans would burn down their offices.

I'm not sure if he can play the point though... And he's a defensive liability at the 2.

Well, Dan Gilbert said they'll win before Miami wins another one. HAHAHA, no chance.

Why wouldn't they? They aren't going to even sniff the playoffs.

1. Miami
2. Orlando
3. Boston
4. Chicago
5. Atlanta
6. Milwaukee
7. New York
8. Charlotte

I love his statements hahaha.

I do agree with him that Lebron is an ego maniac though. He wanted everyone to talk about him for 2 yrs. When he probably knew where he wanted to go since the playoffs.

I wouldn't want West...afraid he'd do someone's mom on the team and ruin the team chemistry

We should send him down to Miami instead so he can torpedo (literally) the Heat

I'd take that flopper. Flopping is made into an artform when he does it.

Varejao could be Perks replacement. He's healthier and much better offensively.

I'd take Varejao anyday of the week, he's annoying as hell as an opponent which means he's a player.

Just because Cleveland lost Lebron doesn't mean they'll be giving away good players. In fact, Gilbert will probably go the exact opposite way and make a foolish decision to overpay for someone now so he can try to show he wants a winning product on the court.

That's probably what Gilbert will do, but if he's really smart, he'll understand he doesn't have the pieces in place for a title run. If he really wants to hurt Lebron, the best thing he can do is give his best players away to teams with a legitimate shot to beat Miami and sign any free agents that Miami wants for more money than Miami can offer. That's how you hurt the king.

This would be great for us, but no way you give away a guy as good as Varejao for cap relief. He's a solid piece for whatever they intend to do. Not the kind of player you dump. He is one of the elite defensive players in the NBA.

VArej is a good player. Good at the dirty stuff. West is crap. Thinks he can shoot. Cant do much else either.

Why's everyone so down on DWest? People use to love him when he was in Boston, he could help us too back up Rondo and Ray. Delonte plays hard on both ends of the floor and he's a funny bastard too. Sleep with one teammates mom and everyone turns their back on you.

oh yeah, Lets get Leon back too, is he healthy yet?
