We dont have to sign a free agent to get our big. In fact, I would have guessed from the start that the best big we could get would be through a trade.

Thats what I was thinking, but the Suns are in the same boat (both got the TPE) and need the same type of player. Also every team is now in a arms race to improve. Even through trade, its going to be very hard to get the type of players we want. Yep, hope for next year.

One step back to take two steps foward!.....i hope. Ive been in a really bad mood since the Boozer news. I really dont feel like rebuilding at any level but here we go. I say bring Brew back for depth reasons and do something about a big during the season once we see where we stand.

I think brewer is a piece you add to a contending team not one who is rebuilding. The jazz need to see what Hayward, Koufos, Millsap, Fes, Matthews, CJ can do. For me Ronnie has probably pretty much peaked. he's never going to be a good shooter, he will be a good defender and slasher but wes is just like that only he has a shot. No reason to stunt the young guys growth with a player who doesn't have much more he will improve on IMO.

Hey, HEY, HEEEEYYYYY, Al Harrington would be playing SF my friends, not center. I see a three way rotation of sorts with AK, Milsap, and Harrington. Small forwards should be able to rebound and the Jazz must be seeing this lately (or actually not seeing it) with Korver and Miles. That is why they are going after a taller outside shooter... one that can rebound inside.

The Jazz are still going after another Center....trust me on this one. Because Milsap can't play center in a pinch like Boozer did...well shouldn't anyways

This is where the Jazz are going to really miss Boozer. I think people are forgetting how much 5 he played last year.

The Jazz simply need to take that TPE and sit on it like an egg. It will hatch someday, and whatever comes out will look a helluva lot better than either Als. Be patient friends, there is no need to rush into anything. They have plenty of time to find a good player between now and when the TPE expires. It's the 6.5m TPE that we should be worrying about at this point.

Yeah, the Jazz should be in no rush to do anything.......

First of all, after Haywood, there really were no good free agent Centers.......

Second, the season doesn;t start until November........

Lots of things will happen before then, and who knows who will become available before then, or before the trade deadline, or during nexy year's draft........

I think the Jazz should go after Okafor. NO is looking to dump we take on a big salary, but we get a defensive big we need.

ya, I agree that the Jazz should stay put for the most part and wait this season out. Sign Brewer so give you a solid bench and maybe a decent big man for cheap but just be patient and wait it all out.

Hey, maybe we can go get Yao Ming next off season...

Yao would be great, but I think the lack of a big Chinese community here in SLC pretty much stops that from happening through free agency.
