I think TNA has nothing to loose if they give Heyman what he wants. Worst comes to worst they fall back to where they are now.

Heyman's booking in ECW wasn't just a "right place, right time" thing. He had a lot of success booking in Memphis and for CCW a decade earlier. I think he just has a realistic understanding of what the mainstream organizations do that turn off potential fans and does the opposite. From what I saw from the event I went to, WWE has reverted back to the cartoony product they put out when I was a kid, which is great for young fans (they were totally into it), but not very fulfilling for other demographics. Heyman would have a long term plan, introduce edgy angles... basically be the opposite of Russo, who has always been terrible.

I think it would at least work in the short term, which I guess is TNA's hang up. I don't know what Heyman's demands are, but safi alluded to them being significant, so I understand where TNA would have big reservations. I would be veeeeeery excited if they got a deal done though.

I understand why TNA is hesitant to give Heyman what he wants. With his demands, if he's not able to be successful it basically kills the company with everything they will have invested in Heyman. Even if they are successful, they won't necessarily reap the same rewards because Heyman is going to get such a significant cut of the company.

I don't know much about the financial aspect. I'm just saying that he had years to make ECW a well-known very successful product but he wasn't able to. It's possible he could turn the product around but I wouldn't expect miracles if I was a TNA fan.

Bishoff's comments on Heyman to TNA

"I've heard the Paul Heyman rumor over the last few months, and I know that Paul has talked to Dixie so there has been some conversation, but I don't know what Paul's plans really are. I don't talk to Paul on a daily basis, and if Paul was to join TNA, I think it'll be a big asset, but I don't know what his immediate plans are."
