Lou Williams to INDY for Jeff Foster and a protected 1st.

-INDY gets a young PG that could fit nicely under Obie.
-We get a tough big on an expiring deal and a future asset. Trade deadline we either try like hell to move Nocioni for an expiring or use our expirings to after a player. Turner eats up the backup PG minutes with Meeks becoming the new first guard off the bench.

Like it. I mean, not that I think Foster is great, but at least we get a center, get rid of undersized SG with a long contract. Williams would be a small loss.

Bulls fan here. Jealous you guys have Turner. I love your backcourt. Wanted to know what you guys thought of this trade:

Deng + Asik/1st Rounder

for

Iggy + Lou Wililams

Deng gives you good defense and someone who moves well without the ball, and keeps the ball in Turner/Holiday's hands. Us taking Lou helps you shed his salary. Asik could give you the defense you lost with the Dally trade.

Iggy replaces Deng's D (I think Deng's man to man is better but Iggy creates more turnovers)....him and Lou gives us much needed creators to take pressure off of rose.

Tried to make it fair and not lopsided.

Gino is the perfect fit between Jrue and Iggy. Al Jeff gives us a solid PF who is an All Star. The combination of our 1-4 starters is competitive in the East. We still have decent depth too.

That is my plan. Balls to the wall all or nothing compete or throw it all out the window.

Do you think that team is remotely close to winning a title.

This is the time to build now because you could not possibly put together a good enough team just by trades.

Jrue, Turner, Thad, lotto player next year, big man FA in 2011/2012. That might be what it takes to pull an upset against the three headed beast.

No veterans, No perimeter defense, 1.5 shooters on the court (Assuming this summer league was just Turner not having his legs). Yeah that will beat Wade/Bron/Bosh

Stop trying to trade Iguodala away for peanuts, this organization doesn't know what to do with cap space anyway. I say sit tight, try to package Kapono + Green (expirings) + Hawes for a true C at the deadline but if not let them walk after the season. The rest of the roster is a year older with playoff experience. Boston will be even OLDER next year, and we are just as good as the Knicks, and better than the Nets / Raptors. The division would be ours for the taking in 2011.

****, my bad. Been posting in the wrong thread.

Anyways, Iguodala is in a losing organization. I've read this board, and I'm convinced some of you don't think he is a legit star. I'd have to agree on that, a solid player, but not a star. If I were you, I would trade him to my Magic for whatever you want outside of Dwight, and make ET your franchise guy. Iggy Pop just isn't as valuable to your team as he once was.

^He's extremely valuable to our franchise... he's an unselfish, do-it-all type of guy, who's perimeter defense will be extremely important to the team this year. Nobody thinks he's a franchise player, but he's a guy that would make an All-Star team if he played on a team with a better record. Orlando doesn't have any pieces that would be all that valuable to us, so unless you can take on Brand and give us back expiring contracts, there's nowhere to begin negotiations.

Vince's 16m expiring is huge, Gortat is a blue-collar rebounder that many of you say you need, Pietrus is a poor mans Iggy, and Jameer is a hometown kid who can score......so don't tell me we don't have valuable assets. Even if you downplay those assets like you are doing, we could always include a 3rd team

Then keep all your sweet assets and lose in the conference finals. No big deal to us. Iguodala is 26, we're in no hurry to do anything with him.

I hope keeping Iggy works, but he will be around 30 yrs old when Jrue, Turner, Thad, or possibly Speights start playing.

It''s hard to tell at this point, but next years draft seems pretty good. i don't know where the Sixers will get top lottery talent or a great big man prospect. Chances are the Sixers get neither and they get a few 50 win seasons with Jrue, Turner, and Iggy.

Alright seriously I've been having a great day and got carried away lol.

But seriously, this one guy (I believe from this board) said Jrue Holiday was gonna be a multi all-star with no doubt in his mind. Don't you think that label is outlandishly generous? The guy is talented and promising and all, but he's not the second coming of Jesus.

According to BSPN, that guy just landed in MIA.

That deal is worth considering. Varejao could be a good fit on this squad.

This got posted on the Bulls forum. Any truth to it?

Chicago wants Iguodala from us and has offered Deng, Taj Gibson and a conditional pick.

Sounded like we would send Iguodala and maybe Kapono or Green depending on what the pick was.

As of now, we continue to maintain that we will not be moving Iguodala."

Counter offer of a deal centered around Varejao+Jamison for Young+Brand.

Trade #5604863.

Truth that we don't want to trade Iguodala? Yes.

I'd be open to a deal around Iguodala and Deng, but Gibson isn't needed here. He can't play center and we have a glut of PFs. If only they could immediately trade Korver in the deal...

To answer your question more clearly though, we'd need a 3rd team to take on Gibson and give us a young center (someone like Deandre Jordan), and I could see it happening. The problem is that we see Iguodala as a fairly large jump from Deng, so we need a young prospect in addition that is a good fit on the team.

Hope that helps.
