Good find hotrod.

Isn't McGuire pretty much what UPS already is?

McGuire is an interesting guy. I follow the Kings a bit (thanks to a friend of mine) and he could be something. He didn't play a lot last year for the Kings or Wizards though.

I'm assuming that he's being brought in as a replacement for Graham.

Don't get this at all. Guy can't shoot worth a lick (41% career FG, 62% FT). Rebounds OK, but what's the point? Even if you're trading UPS in some deal, why not get a better player than this?

Is it possible they signed this guy specifically to S&T, and add to another player, to make the numbers work with the other package?

He's a LB guy. Hustle player/defender.

^ This.

We know how LB loves his hustle players, regardless of what they've done in the past. I'm sure it's a min. deal too, which is fine.

if it was up to LB we would have 15 guys on the roster, all 6'8" tweeners who like to dive on the ground for loose balls and cant shoot. but hey, they can switch all the picks. yay.

yeah, but McGuire doesn't quite fit into this scheme. He's not a veteran and still only 26years old. So I guess that's our pick this year. yay.

Yep.

He is a nice defensive guy in his stint in Sacramento. He can't be relied on offense though.

So why aren't we using the rest of our Cap to try to get a PG again? unless we already have a trade in the wings

Guards that can shoot are against Larry Brown's religion...

I'm okay with this as long as Hendo and UPS are still getting PT. If he's playing 20mpg I'm gonna be pissed.

I want to believe we just need a filler for some trade... I seriously even don't know that guy at all. Nothing against him, I am all for being pleasantly surprise, just haven't run into anything pushing me to think I will be.
