Barnes is a nice addition though but can he hit teh 3 on a consistent level?

i dont think i would risk adding him... :(

Bell is an azz, he's always taken shots at us, even in casual bball interviews. If he was offered a contract, this is no surprise.

Bottom of this article says Bell refutes these claims.

Bell said he has received several phone calls from former nemesis Kobe Bryant recruiting his services for next season.

He's done anyways, I'd rather see us resign Shannon Brown.

You guys might not believe it, but Bell would have been an excellent addition to the bench. Guys like Farmar and Brown are younger, but Bell brings that veteran savvy that those two guys lack. His defense on the perimeter would have made life a little easier for Bryant. Why else do you suppose Bryant was pushing hard for Bell? He knows what he's doing.

Actually we do, that's why there have been countless posts and threads saying we want him on our team.

I see a lot more people bashing him now than they did when he was interested in signing with the Lakers.

Bell would have been a nice addition to the bench with his defense, toughness and shooting. With that being said, there are other options out there. Matt Barnes is another tough defender with the ability to shoot. The same can be said, to a lesser degree, about Ryan Gomes. T-mac is neither tough nor a particularly good defender, but offensively he could be very effective coming off the bench for the Lakers.

I think Bell would be a good signing if it happened, but I kind of think maybe we should take a page from Boston's play-book and sign athleticism and explosive scoring to the bench...

Our front 5 can play lock-down D already but the Offense stagnates at times. It would be scary if we could bring some guys that could get up and down, slash, finish and pile up points off the bench.

Blake is on the tail-end of his career, so's Fish and Bell... And they're all Defensive oriented players.

I guess if we do sign Bell or even Barnes, we HAVE to sign Brown, Sasha's got to be the MACHINE again, and we probably need to have our Rookies on the roster just to have a good mix of Experience/Defense and Youth/Athleticism.
