Re: Sign Adam Morrison
Seriously, why not sign him to the minimum. Just look at Steve Kerr, his first season in San Antonio he shot 39% from the field and played 16 minutes per game and averaged only 4.4 points per game. I think if we spent the minimum on Morrison he could definitely produce that much. And if he doesn't get in the game send him to the D-League and cut him the summer what do the Spurs have to lose? I am sure Pop could do a better job with him than The Zen Master.

And then what if by some miracle he ends up being the pure shooter everybody was hoping for when he was drafted? The Spurs have a dirt cheap all star and look like the scouting genius's that they are. At the end of the day Matt Barnes would be cool, and I am pumped they signed Splitter

Allstar is a stretch. But yeah for the minimum, Morrison has higher probability being a rotation player in a team lacking SF and shooting than say... Malik Hairston, Curtis Jerrells, or Ian Mahinmi.

Or maybe LA was just stupid. With young guys like that, you can't really judge everything by performance. You always judge them by potential and they become your pet project. Now if we're paying him 5 mil to be our project, then I'll say hell no to Stache.
Minimum?
LA took him because his contract was shorter and smaller than Vladimir Radmanovic, thats the only reason they made that deal.
Morrison is a flat terrible player and one of the worst draft picks in the history of the NBA. I watched alot of him while he was at Gonzaga and it was easy to tell that he'd never be successful in the NBA. He was never a great outside shooter even from the college 3 point line and his game basically revolved around shooting mid range jumpers off the dribble. The fact is that style of play just won't work for him in the NBA, he's not athletic enough to create space for himself and he doesn't have the range to make defenders respect him.

Well, for a minimum paid player, what exactly are you expecting? A great scorer? I watch him at Gonzaga and I will agree that he's not worth the 2nd overall pick and that I didn't think his game will translate the way a 2nd overall pick should. 2nd pick, you're expecting star caliber players and Morrison's isn't likely to be that kind of player. But nonetheless, he's a guy who knows how to score (if he actually gains confidence) and is one heck of a shooter.

I'm expecting a player that can actually play in the NBA and Adam Morrison cannot play in the NBA. He cannot score in the NBA and he's not a good shooter.

Ofcourse if we could get Matt Barnes, Dorrell Wright or James Jones, I'll choose them over Adam Morrison. I'm not suggesting Morrison to come in and be our starting SF. But as a minimum paid player, there's a high reward possibility with him.
I said:"Morrison's stats are beyond horrible and he has 0 intangibles and he is always injured."
That's a lot more than just stats, lol.

I wasn't serious about Ammo becoming an All star, but I certainly think he has an upside, and I think he could be just as productive as Matt Bonner or Roger Mason. And we just signed Bonner for 4 years and how much money? I am interested to see how the rest of Morrison's career plays out, I hope for the better he really sucked it up and continued to work hard eventhough he was riding the bench, when I think a lot of kids in his position would have just gave up, complained, and sulked while they made their 5 million a year. Much less play in the summer league with a bunch of draftees and rookies where he averaged over 20 points a game. That counts as an intangible doesn't it?

Not being a big baby isn't exactly an intangible. I see the rest of career being played out in the IBL.
