How bout Smith & Horford for Carmello???

Post#1 » by nycefnl » Fri Jul 9, 2010 8:43 pm

Before you kill the idea, you gotta give up something good to get something good. Here it is:

Josh Smith
Marvin Williams
Al Horford
future 1st

for

Carmello

sign Shaq (they would sign if you added Mello)

Now maybe you can contend with the Miami.

Pg Teague
SG Johnson
SF Carmello
PF Andersen
C Shaq

with this Lineup you'll have a shot at Miami in a year or two.

Not ready to win now with that front court but.

That team isn't much better than our current team and actually 100% kills the future of the team.

Heck no. Carmello is a free agent after the year, and most likely won't want to stay here.

I'm sure nycefnl assumes DEN signs CA to an extension 1st, but, even then, we'd be stripped of our frontcourt.

Unless something were added to include Nene (and a bit more), we couldn't afford to make this trade.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

This trade is ridiculous! Smoove and Horford are more valuable than just Carmelo

Wouldn't even do that for Lebron or come close.

I might of done that for Lebron prior to "The Decision", but no more.

Man, contenders in two years...? When Shaq is 39/40 and finishes his two year deal?
