Re: What happens in vegas....
Outside of Lawal (and maybe EC if he stops missing everything and being an idiot), the Suns Summer League team is pretty much an embarrassment, even for a Summer League team.

Don't know why we're not just throwing it down low to Lawal every possession

Lawal is doing good. EC is better today than yesterday. I think dowdell should stop being a damn ball hog and get his teammates involved. Janning is better at point than that fool.

gut check time suckas!

Re: What happens in vegas....
Gani Lawal is looking really good. He went into bully-mode towards the end of the game.
You can tell that right now, EC is trying too hard. It's all in his head. Every mistake he makes, he just hangs his head and kind of gives up. That being said, I'd be frustrated too if i were him and playing with these guys. He did hit a couple of jump shots, and when he drives, he looks a lot like lamar odom, especially when he goes left.
Dowdell sucks. He was hitting shots yesterday, but he just kills the offense. He was like a -27 today or something. I'd love to see Lawal and EC play with a good PG and i would also like to see Reynolds play. Hopefully that'd help out this summer team's offensive flow.
And I'd like to see more from Shaun Pruitt... he had a pretty good game. Gavin Edwards and Ponkrashov should be cut right now, they are absolutely terrible and just a waste of space and possesions.

Wow lose by 30. How did Gani get his 7 buckets?

By bullying his way to the basket.

2 monster dunks (one off a nice spin move, the other off of a steal), couple hook shots in the paint, and a couple contested layups. Bullied his way inside at times.
He should of gotten more, but he kept getting fouled and couldn't make his free throws.
Watching him off the ball, he posted up his man well and got good position but was often ignored.
The ball seems to slip out of his hands a lot when he's grabbing defensive rebounds though.

Thx. I'm surprised he played so well because yesterday Gani looked outta shape. The only highlights of the game on nba.com is Sonny Weems doing his best Dr J impression.

Re: What happens in vegas....
"Clark said he'd been in Miami and Atlanta working on his game but he clearly wasn't working hard enough if he's going to come to Summer League out of shape. A disappointing display of immaturity and the kind of lack of professionalism that caused him to drop to the Suns at 14 in the draft.
Clark wasn't a complete bust on the floor, he did show the ability to attack off the dribble and on several occasions was able to draw fouls. Of course, he also only hit 5 of his 10 free throws and 5 of his 14 field goal attempts. Even worse, he's shown no leadership on the floor and has yet to display the vision and passing that got him 5 assists in his first summer league game last year.
Coach Majerle touched on that along with his fitness, "He's struggling a little bit. That happens in Summer League. I think he wants to come out here and he may be pressing a little bit. I don't know if he's in the greatest shape possible."

I think Earl is doing the best he can right now. he is winded cuz h is anxious and pressing. Anxiety is wasted energy. he has a long way to go but the suns knew what they were getting with him. high risk and high reward. he is prolly out of shape too because of how much girth he has put on and he proly is not use to playing with as much bulk. i remember Robin having issues and goran having issues. I expect clark to have a better showing next game.

Forget the jumper. Just throw him the ball at the elbow, clear space and let him drive. He reminds me so much of where Dragic was at, at this point in his career. Just get him aggressive by making him drive and everything will naturally come to him.
Once he throws down a few dunks and draws some fouls his confidence will come back to him and his opponent will crap themselves and stand back and *that* is when you start nailing some jumpers.

I will agree with you on that one.
Edit: Looks like he spent the off season in the weight room but not working on cardio.
