Lou Williams
i dont know what his contract situation is or how the pacers would acquire himbut i would love to see lou williams come to indy. he has been held back on the sixers by terrible coaching, being benched behind the likes of willie green and forced to play SG.
check out his stats from the beginning of the season when he was starting before he got injured. the sixers seem to like jrue holiday and had lou on the trading block. if the pacers could trade for him i think they would have a solid young core of talent to work with.

3 years/$15.5 million.
He's average. But he's got a long-term deal that uses up cap flexibility next offseason.
Once again, sign Mike James, Rafer Alston, Anthony Johnson, hell, Travis Diener again. Do NOT tie up flexibility on guys that you are just going to have to dump in a year anyway. Let the cycle end. We have traded bad contract for bad contract for bad contract and merely lengthened the cycle. Let the cycle end and start fresh.

If we take on Lou Williams I'm gonna want a #1 pick with him to take his contract. Maybe something like Williams and Iggy plus a future #1 for Dunleavy and Ford. I don't know if that works cap wise or not. And bringing in an Iggy would surely hold back the development of George. So I don't know.

Is Iggy available for expirings?
Regardless, he doesn't fit here, at all.
Now if he was available for expirings I'd just involve a third team to take on Iggy. I bet we could get a pretty decent pg in return.
Hell, I bet Iggy could get you M.Ellis.
My guess is Philly keeps Iggy, he still has good value.

Mike James(Too Old), Rafer Alston(Cancer), Anthony Johnson(best option of the four, but would want to sign with contendor i'm sure) and Travis Diener(are you serious!).
Lets keep the idea that Stephenson can eventually play into the pg position. Also we can possibly wait til some pgs are left with no option and grab one.

Rafer Alston, Mike James, Anthony Johnson????? Why not put Jamal Tinsley on the list? The Pacers owe it to season ticket holders to come up with something better than this. I realize this is what you would choose from if you are only willing to do one year contracts.
Even if Lance Stephenson is up to the task of playing major minutes at point guard and he had better if one of these guys is the alternative you need a competent second option.
Louis Williams is a reasonable option. A little over paid but he's still young and has played off the ball. The fact that he can guard the point would potentially make him a good option playing next to Stephenson.
Looking at the contracts that have been agreed to this year is everyone really that anxious to spend major mony next summer? The only team I've seen improve significantly and get good value for their investment is Miami.

well what other options are there? felton is gonna sign with the knicks....i cant think of anyone else the pacers could get. those options you listed are worthless and would make no sense to sign.
the pacers need a PG. lance stephenson is NOT a PG.
i think some of you are just underrating williams and havent seen him play. his contract isnt too bad compared to what some guys are making. he's not deron or CP3 but he's capable of averaging 17/7 given a full time starting gig and is still only 23.
Boneman2 why on earth would you want monta ellis? he's a ballhog

I somewhat agree, but who is going to sign? I think we should try and get a very good player or a young player with actual potential, more than Ike Diogu. I'd like to have some money, but we definitely don't need 30 million.

Ooh man, I don't know if I can take TJ as our starter, though. We need to trade him for something... I guess we can just throw Stephenson out there as our starting PG. How many 2nd round SG/SFs drafted in the 2nd round who came out after one year of college started as PG in their first year? Lance is the man, I just hope he doesn't go crazy at any point.
