Kevin Love question

After the combine Kevin Love said his doctors told him his growth plates were still open and wasn't done growing.

Al Jefferson - 6'9.75 w/shoes (2004 combine)
Kevin Love - 6'9.5" w/shoes (2008 combine)

Is it the angle or does Kevin Love have about an inch on Jefferson?

In the first pic he looks a little taller. Second one Al is slightly angled. Al's beard is cut real nice though! Watch Love be 7'2" next year. Then people can bash Khan becasue we traded Al after we got the perfect center in Love.

I think the underlying question here is if Beasley and Love can see significant court time together.

On offense, without question, they can co-exist, but defense is the main issue. In order for them to work together, either Beasley needs to be able to defend the SF position or Love needs to hold his own against centers. I think the latter is more probable at the moment.

Right now, Love has the strength to do it, but his height is in question. He was 6'7.25 without shoes and with his magical lifts he was 6'9.5 with shoes. If he can get to a legit 6'10 (6'11 in his magic shoes)which for me means 6'8.75 without shoes (or 1.5 inch growth) then I would be more comfortable with him at center. It seems silly to think of it that way, but whatever.

Either way, in order to give both Beasley and Love around 30 minutes, Pekovic or our Backup SF (Webster, Brewer, Hayward) will see reduce minutes.

Kurt Rambis was listed as 6'8" and he looks about the same height as Al.

You guys are better off Giving Beasley 34 mpg+, and treat him as the 1st..2nd option.

Heat were 14 and 8 with Beasley playing 34 minutes+

and he avg 21 and 8rpg in those games.

i was at stellas in uptown on friday, k love was there, i was with darren kent who is a true 6'10, and love was a hair shorter id say.

i honestly didn't ask DK what Beas is saying about the trade (dk is hyped, and they are still close friends though).

This past year I saw Kevin Love at Mystic Lake Casino (concert, if I remember correctly) and he's a big dude in person.

To me, in person, he looked taller than what he measured out at (6.7.75 w/o shoes)

Yeah, he sat directly in front of me at Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakuel, and I never saw any of them!

That's awesome. My mom and mother in law used to get free hotel rooms and they'd give them to me to use to go to Dakotah and play pick-up games. People stopped playing and then they stopped getting the free rooms. There was nothing better than playing some pick-up ball and hitting the buffet up afterward and sleeping in their comfy beds. That'd have been sweet to run into a Wolves player and try dragging him down there with us (not that it would have worked but still...)

Who was playing at Mystic? They had seemed to getting quite a few country acts and comedians last I saw...
