2nd rounders FTW!

I hadn't seen anything on the Summer League yet, so this is surprising. If they end up making the team (likely, at this point) let's hope they can bring it in whatever limited minutes they'd probably see.

They'll fall once the Vegas Summer-League ends I think, but I check that ranking daily to see how they're stacking up.

I know its just summer league but Ebanks plays alot like Ariza and Caracter has a really good inside game. I hope if we do any trades it doesn't include these guys. By the way if you want to watch the games you can watch them on NBATV or NBA.com

Great draft picks. Let's hope they can translate these couple successful games into contributions in the regular season.

definitely would not mind Caracter and Ebanks taking Powell and Morrison's spots... (although I did kinda like Powell)

Like I said on draft day Ebanks is Ariza 2.0 and I was sleeping on Caracter but some of you were not.

If anyone is interested I have video files of the Lakers vs Pistons. Just let me know if you all want it hosted somewhere.

Ebanks is raw talent should have been a higher 2nd rounder at the LEAST.

Caracter should've been a lottery pick in all honesty. Dude isnt playing like a rookie but plays like a savvy and confident 1st or 2nd year NBA big man.

It almost seems unreal we picked up these two Laker Scouts have overachieved this year.

i told you guys caracter has the best post game in this draft.....he's like a blair 2.0..... he's been profected to go lottery since h.s., but his run ins with his coaches and his constant transferring made him look bad...now he seems to have it together....he lost his weight, and is getting in better shape, his post game is very sharp and he can shoot and rebound very well for someone his size.....he's good and will be a good role player....his game reminds me of elton brand, of course i dont think he's as good, but he can be a very very servicable player.....i don't know too much about ebanks though....

Both these dudes are sick. Mad props to Mitch, AND the rest of the league for being idiots and passing on both.

Looks like they'll fill out the bench for us.

They might make camp. Best bet for them is to go over seas to make some money. Lakers are not going to keep them for sitting on the bench.

Wow... seriously? The Lakers will keep at least one sitting on the bench, somebody has to keep Luke company anyways. It is there first year in the league, why not be part of a championship team and soak in all that Kobe, Phil, Ron (For Ebanks D) and Fish have to say? IMO it is worth them taking 800k to learn from the best in the league. That experience is invaluable for a young player.

I'm also not sure they would make anymore over seas... other than less taxes. If so, what, 500k? Is it worth moving your whole life for that?

I'm pretty sure that the Lakers would keep one of them, if not both. These guys are youth and energy. Even if it is summer league, you can tell they have game, and they're showing efforts to work hard to plug Lakers needs.

If they were willing to sign Sun Yue and give him a chance, and given that these two seems to be some of the best value draft picks the Lakers have ever had (gotta give Kupchak and team their due props), I think they're going to be given a chance.

Plus, they would be cheap roster spots, especially important considering their penny pinching for DFish.
