Timofey Mozgov

Post#1 » by Childs2Dudley » Sun Jul 11, 2010 3:19 am

Hey guys, Knicks fan here asking for some info on a European signing the Knicks just made.

The New York Knicks signed Timofey Mozgov, the Russian center from Khimki Moscow.

Can anyone give me a detailed-as-possible scouting report on this guy? I never heard of him and want to know his strengths, weaknesses, etc. It would be a big help.

Thanks!

I dont know the details of the deal, but he might just be a terrific fit for Knicks..
He is big (7´1 ) and is really athletic and runs the floor particuralry well.. He is also a very nice shotblocker. His offense is still pretty raw and his BBIQ is also not one of the highest..

Still a decent signing i suppose if it is not in some crazy 20ish million territory

Thank you for the response. It is a 3 year, $10 million signing.

I think he'll be a good signing due to his athleticism and the fact that he will play in a quick pace offense. Don't expect too much from him except pick and rolls and alley oops.
