What do you guys think possibly adding fish would do to chalmers though?... to his credit the kid has been a gym rat and seemed to start heading in the right direction at least mentally after he was benched, also ended the season on a strong note, was our second best player hitting big shots down the stretch and makin plays. with the talk of lebron at point and adding fisher to that mix to possibly start? i remember chalmers being pretty vocal about wanting his starting on several occasions.

I really don't want Kobe's butt buddy on this team, period. Not even at the minimum.

But that's just me.

I'd rather tap into the Heat Alumni and approach Dooling or JWill.

It' doesn't seem Riley/Spo are content with Chalmers starting, though.

I think the PG position is the less important. The heat can go really big in the lineup anytime they want with either Wade or lebron as PF. This might be a huge advantage against small teams. So who starts at the PG position to me is not that important because it might change depending on the team we are playing. I say sign Arroyo and try either lebron or Wade at point bringing chalmers/Arroyo from the bench and if it doesn't work sign another vet in midseason for the PG position.

Haslem and Shaq/kwame should be the priorities that is the really big hole this team has right now.

I'm telling you the backcourt 1-2 punch of Bron/Wade will be the most devestating thing the league has ever seen.

Not enough $$$$ for all 3 (Miller, Udonis, Fisher) you need to pick 2 of those.

BBallFreak, you didn't watch the Lakers much last season did you? Fisher has regressed very badly. Chalmers was the better player than him last year, and this is with Fisher playing on a stacked team.

well every team is going to gear up for us like it's their game 7 of the finals... so when February in Indianapolis our guys just want to get out of there, the Pacers will be playing at 110%... not every game is going to be a rout. Which is good.

Hey if Lakers are the ones we need to beat that's pretty good for us because they had to win by a last second shot by Kobe last year that's against wade only now we have three super stars.

Fisher had a good playoff run, but he labored through the regular season. He's aging and can't keep up with a number of PGs. He's good for spot-up shooting from outside, but I believe we can find someone to do the same (with better D over the long haul) for a cheaper price.

I'm not a fan of spending that remaining 3.8M or so on he or Haslem. I'd rather see some options at the 5, another shooter or perimeter defender.

Its all relative. He had a good playoff run compared to his regular season. He was still mediocre. The only thing notable he did was make clutch shots.

That was more what I was meaning to say. I spent the majority of the season laughing at him and predicting epic fail in the playoffs. He had timely playoffs moments. Overall, there's more we can do (and perhaps NEED to do) with that remaining cap space.

Fisher does the little things on the court and he's a smart player and can hit a clutch shot. But, his overall game has always been lacking. With his age it has regressed even further.
