I wonder if they're going to hold on to either Love or Jefferson. If you're planning to hold onto Love, what role are you giving Beasley. He would have to get a big chunk of his minutes at SF, which is out of position for him. It wouldn't surprise me to see them trade both Love and Jefferson.

Hate it. We're trading Jefferson because we have a logjam in the front court. Gortat and Bass is a ton of long term salary to take for players we don't have room for. This is the complete opposite of what we want to do.

yep, that is one stupid trade for us. if they want to sign and trade redick, add in fran vazquez rights, and something else, I think we have the start of a deal.

I'm not paying Redick $20M over three year.

I don't think we can get anything great back for Al. we're probably just looking for cap space here.
as far as trading Love; I don't think you trade him unless someone really knock your socks off with an offer. The more this kid plays, the more teams are going to want him. You bring him off the bench behind Beas. I don't think we should trade anyone except for Al at this point.

How about OJ Mayo?
They could use a PF with Randolph's pending legal trouble and it being his last contractual season with the Grizz. They seem to have been shopping him around quite a bit for some reason.
I have always been a fan of his and think he has the chance to be great. I was always worried about potentially acquiring him only to see him bolt the first opportunity he got. However, Mayo-Love-Bealsey have played a lot of ball together growing up on the AAU circuits, camps, & All Star games and I am hoping they might be able to forge a nice relationship possibly even keeping them all in town.
Come to think about it...wasn't Flynn also in that HS class? He was a late bloomer though so he might not have spent as much time at all these All Star games and camps as the other 3.

well i think were making the team worse if we trade jefferson for cap space, cause theres no way were atracting anyone to come here unless kahn has a backup plan trade after we trade jefferson, for someone like iggy..

Sorry for my ignorance guys but why is mgt so intent on trading Jefferson? From my limited understanding of the wolves Jefferson is the only player with a post game right?

Its not a question of talent. Its a question of style. Mgmnt wants a passing offense and good D. The game stops when Al gets the ball and makes a few ball fakes and pivots. He is not the best about passing the ball back out of the post. He is still a good player, but would be a better player for a different team.
Also want to give more minutes to younger players.

Nice summary. Another way of putting it is we run a read and react offense, while Al waits and feels.

Re: Other moves for wolves?
It sure feels like something is going down this weekend. I'm expecting some sort of news Tomorrow on an impending deal.
Since nothing official has gone down with Beasley yet, and rumor is that it was our side slowing up the deal, I wouldn't be surprised to see a third team brought into that trade?
However, if one of the rumored deals to Portland is happening, it might need to wait a few days until after the Utah / Matthews thing gets settled.
Not exactly sure. He is a very unique offensive talent. He does have some defensive liabilities - particularly against the pick and roll. He also might not be the best fit for a running offense. He also makes a fairly large chunk of salary for the next three years. My hope is he figures Pekovic is a similar player on the court who makes only 1/4 of the salary.

Re: Other moves for wolves?
I doubt it's our side holding things up. Miami had an awful lot of things to handle with Toronto and Cleveland and Wade before getting to the Beasley deal. I assume the League will handle it all Monday morning.
