I believe I cited the Bulls as not quite as good as the Bucks because despite adding Boozer and Korver they really do not have any sort of consistent shooting on the floor. I also do not expect Boozer to play near the level he has been at.. 1. Because Rose dominates the ball - he is not the PG that is looking for open PFs like persay a Deron Williams. 2. He's getting older - and he just got PAID. This contract screams to me to have the efficiency of the Ben Wallace contract they saddled themselves with years back.

Noah/Rose is a nice combo - but after that Deng has dropped off considerably, Boozer likely cant/wont replicate his Utah numbers, and they do not have someone that will play a ton of minutes and stretch the court - something which would help Rose improve his efficiency. 1-10 the Bucks are so much better. 1-5 it's pretty close. But in the 2nd quarter and late 3rd/early 4th when the Bucks reserves are wiping the floor with the Bulls reserves.. this is where the game will be won.

They essentially lost from last years team and assets -

Hinrich
Salmons
Thomas
2010 1st round pick

Gained
Boozer
Korver

I just dont see that as an improvement.

I dont really want to debate about how good the Bucks will be. I said it before, I think they are a better team, but no way do they win 58 games.

I think a lot of people look at our team and think we were just a 500 team, but Noah playing with planter facitic was a huge setback for us last season. Had we not had several key players all injured at the same time during our 10 game losing streak, we could have been much closer to a 50 win team.

We had Deng playing with a torn calf, Noah and Gibson had a planter facitic. At the same time DRose missed time bc of the hit Dhowerd put on him, James Johnson played games with a torn planter facitic (would have sat out if we wernt already depleated) Hinrich missed time with a thumb injury and a suspention. All of this happend right around the same time.

I dont understand how adding Boozer wouldnt help out team. He is going to be a top 3 PF in the east next season, and give the bulls out best low post scorer, and best pick and roll option our team has had in a long time. Korver and Riddick(if magic dont match) are going to add a lot of 3 pt shooting to our team and that was one of the things we really lacked last season.

Every team has injuries. We had Redd, Bogut (twice), Ridnour, Moute, and many others hurt at points last season. It's just how it is. Sucks when a big name guy gets hurt, but it will happen each year over 82 games. If it doesnt, you are flat out lucky. The norm is having to deal with the injuries.

As for another interesting little thing. I dont think any of the Bucks fans thinks that Jennings is better than Rose. I doubt that will ever happen, cant say no for certain, but he will likely be a notch below.

One thing that we can say is that Andrew Bogut might be better than Rose. Look at key statistics that analyze efficiency / win production.

TS% - Bogut leads .540 to .532
PER - Bogut leads 20.4 to 18.5
Win Shares - Bogut Leads 7.5 to 6.4

It's hard to compare them because they play different positions. However, I'd argue that their impacts are just as dominant - if not leaning towards Andrew because of his overall game.

I think everyone can agree that the east has got better since last season.

I don't agree with this at all. If anything, the east overall got worse because the major power that was separated throughout the East is now on one team. Cleveland isn't anything without Lebron and Toronto isn't anything without Bosh. New Jersey and New York have completely torn apart teams and nothing to show. You can make an argument that some teams have started to put together pieces for the future, like Washington, but aren't better now. I think it's very easy to say the top 6 teams in the east this season will be Miami, Orlando, Boston, Atlanta, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Most would probably say Charlotte is number 7 on that list and 8 could possibly be Cleveland or Toronto.

I only say this because there really aren't as many dominant teams in the East anymore because the power has all shifted to one team. Who knows how the chemistry will really work in Miami. Who knows if the guys in Boston are getting too old to play this game, if Atlanta will continue to waste talent and fail in trying to find chemistry between one another.

This will be an interesting season because if you completely discount Miami, both Milwaukee and Chicago are teams that are putting together/have pieces for a bright and successful future. It's tough to say which team is better at this point, but it's clear that both are in a great position.

I had arguments with Bulls fans last night that all claimed Derrick Rose was the best point guard in the league. Barf.

At the end of the day you can always count on Old Skool and Profound23 to side with the Bulls.

If Rose improves as much from year two to year three as he improved last summer, he will be the best PG in the East, a shoo in for the All-Star team, and possibly a starter. The kid is very good. He played great even without any outside shooters to space the floor. He averaged 25 ppg against the defensive minded Cavs in the playoffs, prompting Lebron to look at the Bulls in a different light.

I think Rose will impact games more this year than Bogut.

The heat, bulls, bucks, Knicks, Nets, wizards will all be better. Boston, Orlando, Hawks all kept their teams pretty much in tact.

6 teams in the east have the chance to win 50+ games this season. I have no doubt in my mind that the east is going to be better this season.

I don't think the Nets or the Knicks got better this offseason. How did they get better? By signing nwe players? Amar'e will not be the answer in New York and New Jersey floppped like no other. Their records might end up being better due to scheduling and other uncontrolled actions but in no way did those two teams get better. Spending money does mean being better.

We have made some great additions this Offseason

Amare(Top 3-5 PF pending on who you ask, Athletic beast, Great Finisher, Good shooter, Can block shots and rebound, Good pick and roll player, has matured and looks healthy)

Randolph (This kid is a star in the making, there is a reason why GS is so upset at losing him. At 6'11, he has all the skillsets to be a star. Good shotblocker, Good Athlete, God handle for his size, Loves playing defense, Hes smarter then he looks(source GS board), good passer, good rebounder, boxes out. ANd most important he has a great work ethic, he is going to continue to improve. Stop comparing him to Camby please, they are nothing alike.

Mother Russia (Dont know much about him, but he looks to me as if he can be our Marc Gasol. He may not be as skilled as Gasol, but his build is similar, but Russia is a better athlete. a legit 7 footer who will block shots and protect the paint. I LOVE IT!

Raymon Felton (Great pickup, he can play fast pace and is an unselfish player, Our only true pg on the team and the first one we have had since Marbury if he can be considered as one. He greatly improved from the year before to last season, just taking a look at his FG and 3pt% compared to the past. He can break down the defense and create for his teamates. He is also a pretty damn good defender.

Buike (Great outside shooter, career 46% fg and over 40% 3pt shooter, great athlete, strong player, poor defender and is a chucker, idc if he chucks as long as he keeps shooting 40% from 3. Good pickup, and could be our starting 2 guard)

Turiaf (Strong, Athletic, Good defender, best shotblocking big per 48 mins. Hustle player, Good lockerroom guy, He is an underated aquisition. He will play 15-20 mins off the bench and we will love his heart and hustle. Can also hit the mid range shot if left open. Not much of an offensive player, but he will grind hard in the paint and play gritty defense.)

Rautins/Fields (2 smart players, I am a Syracuse fan and i love Rautins. He is a great shooter and a clutch shooter, Very good passer as well, Has alot of heart and plays Defense and hustles. I like the fields pick too, he played very well yesturday and i have liked him since before watching that game, i didnt really know him in college but i have heard alot of great things about him and seen some video after th draft. He is a craftly palyer, he knows how to score too with a variety of moves, He reminds me of Kevin Martin in that aspect.

Overall, i give the knicks an A for this offseason, Even though we didnt get Lebron, but outside of the Heat we have had the best offseason. This is the first time in years we have had a Complete team and teamates who compliment each other well. WE have shotblocking, we have shooting, we have a PG, We have defenders, we have Versitility. Walkers in great shape and has beenw orking on his game, Toney Douglas has been busting his ass along with Gallo. We have some young guys who will be better then last year as well.

Also, think about how many teams have gotten WORSE this offseasons by losing all their big players, while we have gotten better. The cavs who were a 60 win team are now a 20 win team, No bosh for Toronoto, The bulls have no depth, The nets are wasting their cap space on 3rd tier players. Bobcats lost their starting PG. Etc Etc.

I know all of you think we are a 500 team, but i think we are better then that. And its not because im biased either, im a realist. These passed years i knew we were going to suck, but this year is different.I love the new knicks roster, and im going to love it more when Melo hops aboard.

PS: sry for mispells, but my screen cuts off when i type more then a page of words and makes it hard, and am now late after writing this all, so i have no time to spellcheck.

The Knicks will be better than last year (31 wins) IMO, but not significantly, as their roster is still horrific defensively. To me, the 8th seed in the East this year will be terrible. I see a clear top 6, then Charlotte, then a lot of just trash.

It's going to be funny when the Knicks have 15 wins at the AS break and they get 2 all-stars.

I dont get how anyone can say Noah is overrated...Bogut is easily the 2nd best C in league, but I think Noah is in a tie with Horford and Lopez for third. I think the problem with some Bucks fans rating Noah, is you only get to see him when they play the Bucks...You see Bogut eat him alive and asssume he is just alright. What won me over with Noah, is watching the Bulls/Cavs series. Noah is insane out there...he was trying to front Lebron, and he didnt do too bad of a job

Just saw this one on the Bobcats board.

"All I know is that if at the end of the day this team ends up with Jefferson and Calderon this team's starting 5 is as good as any team in the league."

Hmmm. There might be a couple of people picking Wade, Miller, James, Bosh and ? over that group. If they do add Calderon and Jefferson, it's improved but they're still not exactly a lock for the 2nd round of the playoffs. Or even the playoffs depending on your view of Calderon...

Def. a fair assumption. I don't watch the Bulls unless they're playing the Bucks, and he isn't anything spectacular to me compared to Bogut. I don't know where I would rank him in terms of Centers because I don't know how the others play every night. I don't think it's fair to say he's overrated, but those who say he's better than Bogut are just dumb.

Noah is a nice player because he is a solid double-double pretty much night-in and night-out. Bulls fans (including myself) probably overrate him because he's a hard working player who is also really the most animated and talkative guy on the team, by far. He's completely annoying if you are the opposition, but if he's on your team you love him. ESPECIALLY when the star of your team is a guy like Rose, who is mostly soft spoken and is just coming out of his shell.

As for Noah vs. Salmons, that question will be better answered this season. Salmons showed a lot when he got traded to Chicago, but then dropped off the following year. Meanwhile, this past season was Noah's best by far. Time will tell whether he continues to improve, or just kind of sticks where he's at.

As for the Chicago Board, yeah, like any other board you are going to find people saying some pretty dumb things, but we are usually good at pointing out to them why they are wrong.
