Re: T-mac and the front office
Would be nice addition. Do not see it happening. We have no money and he is always about the money. A ring. He would love one but I do not see him putting in the time and effort for 1.8 million.
Even Fisher. going to be more about loyality to the Lakers. If he wants money. He is gone. Lakers need to find money out there to up grade.

Re: T-mac and the front office
I'm still not on the T-Mac bandwagon.
I don't think he would be very good in our system.
He needs touches, a lot of touches, to get going on offense. He will not start on this Laker team and I don't think he will be that effective (or happy) coming off the bench.
He also doesn't play any defense.
Can any of you see him being able to operate in the Triangle? I just don't see it but I could be wrong.

Re: T-mac and the front office
Dude you're still wrong about Mitch not being a great GM, he's a hell'va lot better than maybe 75% of the leagues other GM's.xkirruax wrote:Lol and people wonder why i think Mitch isnt as great of a GM as people think. How can you not want to sign T Mac for Vets min you have to sign someone for his spot anyways
If you knew anything about Mitch you'd know he was groomed by the great Jerry West for years before he assumed the position. Most of these GM's for most of these teams just got basically handed the jobs out of circumstances. Some never even played the game, so their sense of talent isn't really that keen because they don't understand what goes on in the game within the game.
You guys here live for the "do it now" moment, dude business is shrewed and it's calculated. You just don't shoot your gun and hope to hit something.
Look if T-Mac was in hot demand he would've went off the market the first week, no team is going to rush to him because he's not a top priority.
Now don't get me wrong, I feel we should give T-Mac that chance because truth be told he can help our team big time. Problem is he has to know he won't start period.

Sure hope we snag him up before the Heat does.
Thats what I'm saying!!!! You know Dwade and Lebron are going to be all up in T-Macs ear soon. Cuz they are going to have to rely on getting these "ring chasing" guys that will play for pennies. Hurry up Mitch~~~~!

T-mac will do well in our system. Him and Kobe have chemistry from the past allstar games. Plus, we need play makers on the bench, LO is not as good as people think he is.

Re: T-mac and the front office
I really think the front office is just focusing on Fisher before anything else. But yea hopefully after we re-sign Fish we go after T-Mac. Again....DO IT MITCH!

Re: T-mac and the front office
T-Mac would be a nice guy to have off the bench to back up the 2/3 spots. Sure his legs aren't great anymore, but he can still create his shot better than most of our other players.

DO IT MITCH.
T-MAC SAID HE WANTED TO PLAY FOR A CONTENDER, ND HE REGARDED KOBE AS THE BEST PLAYER TO EVER WEAR A LAKER UNIFORM. MCGRADY AVERAGED 10 PPG 4 APG and 4 RPG in 25 minutes. Play him 20-25 minutes a nite till he can prove himself

who would you guys choose?
Tmac is hanging by a fingernail between retirement and on an active roster. One defensive crouch and he's on the IR.

Honestly I do not think TMAC's body can hold up all season. Even as a reserve getting 15 mins a game. Should of taken care of his body when he was younger.
wasted talent.

TMac's body will not hold up during the regular season no matter how many minutes he played. He barely made a half of season with the Knicks playing 20 mins a game. Dude is done unfortunately.
