Whiteside has the tools to be a perfect complimentary spot up shooting, shotblocking, defensive rebounding PF to go along with Reke and Cuz. Even though Whiteside has star potential in terms of his talent he really projects as more of a great role player type. He has an amazing stroke and attacks everything that makes it's way to the rim. If he can stay out of Cousins' and Rekes' way, spot shoot, and simply be long, he might be exactly what we need.

I really think Whiteside can become a DPOY type talent. However, I'm going to be cautious, and just believe that one of the two (Whiteside/Cousins) will live up to 80% potential.

Of course, if Tyreke, Whiteside, and DeMarcus all live up to 100% potential, then we would have one of the best teams in the league...buuttt...on the safer side...lets just say Tyreke hits around 90%, Cousins at 80% and Whiteside at 50%

Please let me be the negative nancy ::pray::

This is starting to get really interesting. Most of the teams are starting to use up most of, if not all of their cap space, while we are sitting here, waiting to see who gets left out in the cold. Personally, I think this is a GREAT idea. If a player like Eddie House doesn't get a good deal with a contender, maybe sign him to a 1 year, 2-3 dollar deal, so that he can look elsewhere next year for a bigger deal.

Personally, I just hope we don't sign someone to a long term contract. We still have tons of cap space left, and next year when Sammy's deal expires, we'll have even more (and one of the few teams to have it, unlike this year)!

I'm pretty sure Petrie isn't going to sign anyone and wait until the deadline to see if he can pick up a star from a desperate team for free. Joe Maloof kind of alluded to that type of thing in his interview with Sam Amick on the fanhouse site. I think it's the smartest thing to do to be honest. I still really would like to see Prince as a major target moving forward, he's just an absolutely ideal fit. I think the goal should be to make one of the longest teams in history.

PG: Evans
SG: Garcia
SF: Prince
PF: Hassan
C: Cousins

That team could literally rotate every position on D and still be pretty effective. Offensively you have a team that can play around Cousins and Evans perfectly. Cousins is a bit iffy guarding the pick and roll but Whiteside would be there to mop it up. Garcia and Prince would be there to help weakside as well. Top shotblocking team in the league, easily.

I still think, no matter what, Beno will be in the starting lineup. Beno was a completely different player when he started compared to when he came off the bench.

Initially he probably will but that lineup of length with guys like Casspi, Thompson or Landry, and Greene off the bench is pretty sick. Defensively it's a much superior team and with a big like Cousins (not to mention Prince who can play point F) who you can literally run the offense through since he's got so much potential as a passer it certainly affords you the ability to not have a true PG. I know they wanted to run some triangle a few years ago, but they now have the talent to do it and possibly do it better than anyone else in time.

Target next summer?

LOTTERY PICK (top 5)..... harrison barnes? kyrie irving? brandon knight?

lets complete our BIG 3 version (tyreke, cousins, next lottery pick?)

no need to compete this year (save salary cap instead of overpayed those overated vet), no nba team can beat the lebron's wade's bosh's team

last season, every time kings lost im happy/smiling but most of you guys don't understand me...the results DMC :D

when the time lebron, wade, bosh get older...our big 3 will take over the NBA

NOT OUR TIME YET....but OUR TIME WILL COME

If we get another top 5 lottery pick, this season will be considered a failure. I think we'll get the 8th to 12th pick.

Dude, we may have completely used up our luck in the draft these last couple of years. The probability that we pick up a guy like Tyreke at 4 and Cousins at 5 is rare. We also might be a little too good to be a contender for a top pick this year considering some of the teams in the playoffs took a hit this free agency. I bet we draft no higher than 8-9 this year.

It really depends on how the young players look next year but just at a quick glance right now:

Tayshaun Prince
Al Horford
Tony Parker

Battier would also be a nice add to our rotation.

Top 5 Lotto pick and we should be panicking IMO.

We won't make the playoffs, but we should be around the range of 8-12.

To be honest, at this point I'm not really impressed or have any clue which players we would like. Mostly because next year's crop of players that should be around lotto range, are all mostly PF and C's.
