I agree that this makes sense. Like with the Rudy Gay signing I think management had an idea of other teams trying to get those players and became proactive rather than have a wait and see approach. I'll give them credit for that if that is how it went down.

Let's face it, not too many free agents have Memphis at the top of their list so completing signings when the chance arises is something management needs to do rater than watch as players use the Grizzlies as their fallback option.

Ronnie Brewer is a player I wanted my Sonics to draft so I'm a little partial to him but I'm a bigger Tony Allen fan and like his leadership qualities more and that's what the young Grizzlies need.

tony allen is a good pick up. memphis is getting better. But, I think Brewer is going to Chicago.
