Mid-Range Free Agents????

Post#1 » by boneys2010 » Mon Jul 12, 2010 3:53 pm

Ok,now that we have lost that one player, can't the team at least go after someone else? All these other teams are still making moves!Tony Allen might have been a decent fit,but he's headed to the Grixxles. There's at least a half dozen or so guys that could have made a nice contribution this season.I know that no one will be able to replace that person, but a little nudge moving forward would be kinda nice to see.
There IS still some time isnt there???????????

I think Cleveland has a great opportunity to take a chance on a player that has either been hurt, or is not living up to a recently signed contract. Josh Howard seems like a low risk, high reward player depending on what kind of contract he is looking for. He is supposed to be healthy for the start of the season, and if he could turn into the player that everyone expected him to be, Cleveland would more than likely make the playoffs this coming season.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I really think Josh Howard is a good option. Let him build his value by coming in and being the starter. It would be a good situation for him.

no,no, He has had attitude problems in the past and is coming off of an injury. The only way I go after Josh Howard is if i can get him on the cheap, otherwise just save your cap sapce. DO NOT blow it on mid-range scrubs. If anything go after younger palyers you can cheaper who havent had a chance and maybe you hit paydirt on one or two, and if not then guess what you set yourself up for the lottery and you get your future anyway. That should be the plan, at least that would be my plan.

NVM. For whatever reason, I thought Josh Howard was younger than he is. At 30 years old, I would prefer to look elsewhere. Regardless, I still think that Cleveland has a good opportunity to take a chance on a player. Was Ryan Gomes bought out by Portland?

Qyntel Woods!....he's like T-Mac, lol.

I do like Lowery, but I'm not seeing the swing men available. Even Q-Rich has found a home. These guys are going fast. We're going to end up with Wilkins Jr. or something.

Hopefully we'll be able to deal for a James Johnson or Thadius Young type. Somebody that has some upside to their games.

I was even looking at a list of the best Euro free agents and things didn't look promising for SF's.

I really hope some of you guys are kidding about Josh Howard.
