Orlando trades C Marcin Gortat ($6.32/4years)
Atlanta trades F Marvin Williams ($6.71/4year)
I dont know if either team would be cool with this, just with rumors of us trading Gortat this offseason, im trying to find possible landing spots.
Hawks need a young Center, Magic possibly need to replace Matt Barnes. Williams seems to have the length we may need. Seems both teams fill a need.
Would this interdivision trade make sense for both teams?

If we had decide to get Childress back, it could be an option, but at this moment, I don't see it before any other trade.
And I've a problem with Gortat as we never saw him play in important period. Each time I saw him playing, it was while ORL had 30pts lead or in garbage time. Hard to see any impact he can bring.

Yeah, hes's only had to start 3 regular season games in his career (since Dwight never gets hurt), averaged 10.0ppg 11.7rpg 3.0bpg and 4.3 fouls (picks up some fouls from time to time).
He also started a playoff game 6 (a elimination game) against Philly (when Dwight got suspended for going MMA on Dalemberts head), he played 40mins 11pts 15rebs 4stls 2ast 4fouls.
His per36 numbers have always been consistant through his career, but like you said, you never know.

How valuable is Marvin Williams to your team?

In my opinion, yes it would make sense, but I don't know if Orlando would even want Marvin at this point. I think he can breakout in a new system, but I'm not sure which teams hold the same opinion. Also, Gortat might not be happy here. He'd get more minutes, but he still might not get to start.
The other thing is that I would gladly do this trade to strengthen our C position then go out and sign Matt Barnes for half the price of Marvin. Fall back candidates would be Craig Smith, Rasual Butler, Ime Udoka, or James Jones. We could actually do this and remain under the luxury tax this season.
