Who says complicated trades never get done???

Post#1 » by SideSwipe » Mon Jul 12, 2010 6:03 pm

I have seen a lot of people put down trades because they thought they were "too complicated, complicated trades never happen" I think this current trade being review with PHX, TOR, and CHA definitely qualifies as complicated.

PHX trades:
Barbosa, Jones
PHX receives:
Turkoglu

TOR trades:
Turkoglu, Calderon, TPE
TOR receives:
Barbosa, Chandler, Diaw

CHA trades:
Chandler, Diaw
CHA receives:
Calderon, Dwayne Jones, TPE

All of that and I suspect there may be more players involved when all is said and done. Getting those TPE's involved is where it gets interesting.

They do when two teams trading have trade exceptions and it's the offseason.

TOR is not using any of it's TPE. They will be sending Reggie Evans to Char instead, making salaries match up.

I was doing the actual math and for Toronto to do the deal and NOT use any of the TPE, then it's Bargnani that has to be the player not named rather than Evans.
