Retire #23

Post#1 » by Bully6789 » Mon Jul 12, 2010 1:34 am

Cavs fans,
If you really want to show Bron how you feel Retire (23) and put MJ name on it and have it in the visitors locker and where the entire stadium can see it. That's a good FU as can get.

That, or give the jersey to a minimum contract player or second round draft pick.

That is funny. However, I think we should just drop EVERYTHING LeBron, as it serves no purpose to continue thinking up stuff like this. All it does is remind us of what happened. Time to move forward.

Retiring Jordon's number would be pretty amusing, but its not like he was exactly beloved in this town.
It would be tempting to take the low road and put some slanderous name on the banner too, but I think the best bet is to just let the number disappear all together.

If Z goes to the Heat we should retire #11 when they are in town.

A traitor will always be a traitor.

We don't honor someone who has committed treason.

We should sign someone thats 89 and give him the number 23 and when he dies we'll retire his number.

LeBron was free to decide how he wanted to leave. Instead of bowing out with more tact, he choose a less desirable route. In effect, LBJ decided that he did not care if he was honored by the Cavs so I don't see why the organization would.

Retiring Z's number after he retires would be great. Even better if it is when the Heat and Lebron are in town.

Maybe see if ESPN will air a one hour special on Moondog changing his number to 23?
Well at least we're not Detroit!

The ultimate... and quite frankly the only FU that would mean worth something is to win a championship before he does. But we're all realistic about that idea. All the other ways of trying to show LeBron up would just be pointless IMO.

The ultimate revenge would be if you rebuild, ship the pieces to the Magic, Celtics and Lakers for lots of picks and cap space.

Cleveland will get another #1 pick soon. You have lots of great options CLE.

Most of us already have, but it's be easier if idiots stopped coming over here digging up old threads.

One of the best?, lol. He is one of the best in league history... James' number will be retired.

Eventually, Cavs fans will learn how to forgive him. The way he left doesn't change what he did in the last 7 years.

You obviously have had limited experience with Cleveland fans. We're not really the forgetting type. And it'll be hare to forgive.
