I dont think we would take Deng in any deal from what I hear.

My ticket guy who called and tried to get me to buy more seats today thinks we are going to trade Iguodala. LOL. I said hmm..do you think that will sell more tickets?

The Clips just signed Aminu so he can't be traded for 60 days.

Kaman, meh, he gets injured a fair amount and gives up points more quickly than he scores them.

Would anybody really care about Deandre Jordan if the pre-draft sites didn't pump him up as a lottery pick before teams got to see him close up? He is a completely horrific foul shooter, has no offensive moves other than a dunk and can block a few shots and rebound some (Yes, I know, he's only 21 which seems to be th standard answer for every not that good player these days). A typical second or third center, nothing to build a deal around.

They want to start talking Eric Gordon and I get interested.

I don't see any real assets on the Mavs. Butler is 4 years older than Iggy and not a great 3 point shooter, Dampier would just be a pure salary dump.

Chicago has very few assets other than Deng.

I don't see much appeal with jsut those teams involved.

I still dont think we want to trade iguodala right now unless we really really like the deal. Collins really wants to try and make it work with him,Jrue and Evan together. Dont know.

I want one more move such as this before we go to camp.

I kinda like what toronto and phoenix did. Lost their superstars but brought in some great pieces to make a team with.

Sixers out- Iggy
Sixers in- TPE, Jordan, 2011 1st round pick from Bulls, 1st round pick or young player with potential from 4th team

Bulls out- Deng, Gibson, 2011 1st round pick (lottery protected)
Bulls in- Iggy

Clippers out- TPE, Jordan
Clippers in- Deng

4th team out- 1st round pick or young player with potential
4th team in- Gibson

I would definitely do that deal. There's no point in bringing in Gibson with Brand and Speights already here so we'd have to ship him off to another team. I'm not sure who would be interested though.

Would you really need to involve the 4th team? Guess it depends if you would rather have Gibson than a 1st pick. Then again, I can see the bulls sending 2 1st rounders your way (they have a conditional 1st rounder from the Bobcats).

Really? I literally have never heard that before, but if so, it makes all of the speculation about Philly desperately trying to trade him a bit ludicrous because after this year, his contract would become an asset, not a liability. If true however, then I suppose Philly could ask for Dampier and Butler and potentially rid themselves of their two biggest contracts. This still doesn't do much for me, but I'm still skeptical about the team option part for Brand.

I think you're right to be skeptical. Hoopshype has it down as a regular contract year. Shamsports shows it as an Early Termination Option, so the power would lie with Brand to end the deal. Given that he's not getting $18m anywhere else (and likely won't get that for the life of his next deal) that's probably not happening.

I like Gordon a lot but If we get Gordon that means ET would have to play small forward and that wouldn't work out well imo.

Nope it is a player option at least according to Hoopshype.com. It would actually be sweet if it was a team option. Unless he opts out (highly unlikely) or Brand somehow gets traded (which could be a possbility in the last year of his contract) we are stuck with him for 3 more years.

you could be right. thats just what i heard. i forget who said it, might have been crev or guilty. either way tho, aplayer option is pretty sweet too because brand hates it here. money talks tho

What assets do any of those teams have that they'd be willing to move? If the Clippers would part with Gordon, maybe you could put him in a backcourt with Turner and ship Holiday out for frontcourt help.

It's also possible that Brand simply has hated his experience so far in Philly (1st year he was injured and second year he was Jordaned) and may just bounce back some next year under Collins. Even if none of us think he'll be a 20/10 guy again, if he is a healthy 15/8 guy this year and only has 2 more years left after this one, then perhaps he starts become tradeable again.

I just find it funny how a month ago, Iggy wan't being shopped or moved. Now he is on the open market. LOL. He is going to be traded for financial reasons. They can't afford to keep him and sign Thad, Jrue, and Speights. I think he will be traded for a young player and maybe some saved money. This team is in rebuild mode. Iggy and ET are not the future together.

If they trade Iguodala just so they can pay Young and Speights I would have a very hard time continuing to follow this franchise. Neither are starter quality players.

adjfkasdjfskbsidgj why would you want to trade Holiday? Jrue is going to be a stud and top 5 or 6 point guard within 2 or 3 years.

I still dont think he is traded. At least not til they give it a shot this season(maybe at deadline?) Clips got DeAndre and thats about it. I dont think they would move Kaman. Bulls have Gibson and a late first. Ugh.

I would do Thad for DeAndre though..but I havent heard of a big market for thad to this point.

I think one of their wings will go for a big man....one of Kapono, Thad or Iguodala basically. Perhaps they are waiting for the best deal they can get from one of those?

Just an option. The same things were said about Iguodala/Young/Speights/ect when they were rookies. Maybe this time Stefanski actually looks ahead and deals a guy when he has a lot of value? Nah, probably not.

Jrue definitely isnt available.

IF I called the shots..I would be moving thad now. I dont think he fits.

I like Iguodala and want to see what collins can do with him.

They definitely need another big and they know it.Its how do we get there.

As always SF76, thanks.

I think we go into the season with no moves, see how Iguodala/Turner works out. if it works out, we deal Thad. If Iguodala/Turner isn't working out, we trade Iguodala.

While I agree with the premise in general, I must admit that I'm kind of curious to see the new, bulked up T. Young before Philly trades him. Young has put on 10 lbs. of muscle and supposedly lived in the gym since last season ended. He also has a contract that isn't exactly painful to carry. I certainly wouldn't give this guy away unless they got a really good offer and also get a chance to see what Collins thinks of him.

If we go into the season with Turner/Iggy and they're a bad fit together, wouldn't that decrease Iggy's trade value considerably. That's what I'm worried about and why I want to trade him now.
