Morrow agreed to a three-year, $12 million offer sheet with New Jersey on Saturday. Now, the restricted free agent is on his way to Nets.

From Wojanowski's twitter.

That's a great deal. I though someone was going to overpay. I wish we could have been in that discussion.

@RicBucher Do Diaw/Barbosa, reunited in Tor, take a photo, a la Wade/Bosh, w/an empty chair between them + tweet, "Someone's missing"? (i.e., Nashty) about an hour ago

Um, no, Ric Bucher. Besides that picture would have to have Raja in it too I would think.

Only way Nash goes is if we can get Chris Paul in return somehow...

The Kings have DeMarcus Cousins, Carl Landry, AND Jason Thompson.

Just saying.

Suns Make Some Moves: The Phoenix Suns will miss Amar'e Stoudemire, there is little doubt about that, but since agreeing to sign-and-trade Stoudemire to New York the Suns have made a series of moves that could turn out to be very good for the team in the long run.

According to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic, the team has reached an agreement with long-time NBA agent Lon Babby to take over as President of Basketball Operations, Babby will be hiring a GM to handle the day-to-day of the team in the coming days.

Early in free agency the team reached terms on a new five-year, $30 million deal with Channing Frye and a four-year, $18 million sign-and-trade deal landing them Hakim Warrick.

Yesterday the Suns reached two more deals sending Leandro Barbosa and Dwyane Jones to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Hedo Turkoglu (a Babby client). The Suns also reached terms on a sign-and-trade deal with Atlanta sending Josh Childress (a former Babby client) to Phoenix with a new five-year, $34 million contract.

While none of these new players are anywhere close to the caliber of Amar'e Stoudemire, the Suns are amassing a lot of nice depth and are picking up players that could thrive in Phoenix's up and down style of play.

Toss in second-round draft picks Gani Lawal and Dwayne Collins – both are expected to make the roster – and Phoenix, who was one of the league's deepest teams a season ago maybe getting substantially deeper.

ImagePhoenix Suns
Current Power Ranking: 13 (3)
Estimated 2010 record: 54 - 28

The Suns made an effort to keep Amar'e Stoudemire but ultimately let the Knicks outbid them. If deals go through as expected, Phoenix will bring in Hedo Turkoglu along Josh Childress with Hakim Warrick. They've added some talent but lost significant size.

Everyone keeps saying that, but i think the Suns have done the opposite. They gotten taller, just lost their inside dominator. The height is still there.

Exactly. Amare's a huge loss, but we're still a long and athletic team.

We have like, 10 guys over 6'7 now.

Utah is now leading the way for Al Jeff.

STEIN_LINE_HQ

Trade exception created by Boozer sign-and-trade can let UTA absorb Jefferson contract w/out sending out salary and seal deal w/draft picks

If I'm GM I'd explore trading for David West or Al Jefferson. Preferably Jefferson.

I know people think his game wouldn't fit with us and all that. Bottom line in the playoffs he'd be very useful and he has what very few big men have in the game today: a back to the basket post up game. He's got the most post moves of any player in the game today maybe bar a couple guys.

I'd trade turkoglu for him. I don't want to give up J rich because he's an expiring plus he was good for us last year a good team player and his cap space would be valuable. I like Turkoglu but his contract is pretty big and I'd ship him out for the chance to get a legit post presence.

Nash Dragic
J rich Dudley
Hill Childress Clark
Jefferson Warrick Lawal
Lopez Frye Collins

I think that's the 3rd best team in the west again at least

I'd prefer David West.

Turkoglu is not going anywhere.

If Utah gets Al Jeff it's a huge pickup. That move would leave us fighting against the Hornets, Grizzlies and Rockets for the 8th seed. If we had a chance to get Big Al for TPE instead of LB for Turk then wow we fail.

Minni obviously just want the cap space or TPE. No way we can give them Jefferson. And they are loaded at SF/PF.

So you think old man Turk is a better PF than Jefferson and other teams don't gain on us by the Suns losing Amare? Wow enough with the homerism.

This is hilarious I don't even know what to say

even without Turk and Chil we are a solid playoff team.
People always underestimate the heart and chemistry of a team. And the Suns will prove you doomsayers wrong once again next season

So if you're not a homer you're a doomsdayer? Interesting how the realistic posters get labeled as a hater or something and if a trade goes down where someone disagrees they can't talk about. News Flash, we finished 4 games ahead of the 8th seed last season. We're the only team in the west who lost a 2nd team all NBAer. Stop the propaganda.

The spread between 1st and 8th was like, 7 games or something.
