Iggy would be great alongside Deron even if that means having a declining Brand back up Millsap.

You guys clear about $12M this season and a lot the next 3-4 years, including $30M for next season alone.

No thanks!

What did he get waived for?

The Jazz will just go ahead and get Al Jefferson for next to nothing instead.

Next to nothing??? Kahn wants 2 first round pick and filler. Good luck with al jefferson to he's a 6'8" center with a 5ft and in game.

As they should. That's the difference between trading for a guy that's on the chopping block and one that isn't.

Al is a nice pickup for Utah if the deal goes through. He should look really good playing under Sloan with Deron running the point.

What happens with Millsap if the Jazz get Jefferson. Does he still come off the bench. I think talent wise it's a good pickup for what the Jazz would be giving up, but its not that good of a fit. About $25M between Jefferson and Millsap is a lot.

I like Iggy and think he would be a good #3 on a contender, but I don't think that team is the Sixers. Here are a few trades that I think could be decent for Iggy.

I think Portland or Houston have the pieces to be good ttrade partners i'm just not sure about the trades.

I really like the idea of getting a S like Batum and a C like Jordan for Iggy. It doesn't necessarily ahve to be those two, even though that would be nice, it could be players like that.

Trade 1 (Probably least likely, but i think could be a good trade partner)
Sixers - Batum, Oden, Pryzbilla
Blazers - Iggy, Speights, Thad, Smith

Trade 2
Sixers - Batum and Jordan
Blazers - Kaman, Speights, Aminu, future pick from clippers and possibly Sixers if need be
Clippers - Iggy and Oden

As much as I would love to have a Holiday-Turner-Batum-?-Oden/Jordan lineup, Batum and Oden are as valuable to the Blazers as Jrue and Turner are for us.
They're pretty much untouchable

Okay, I wasn't sure but that makes sense.

Can anybody think of any other young SF's or C's that could be had in a Iggy trade? Maybe a three team trade.

radrmd216 wrote:red96, what about Iggy for Ariza, Hill, and possibly a pick? i would like Patterson, but he might not be that available and we would have to wait 60 days to do the ttrade.

Ariza's numbers improved, but some people say he his game actually got worse. Did his play not justify his numbers?

Well, I wanted to add Iggy to the Rockets as the 2nd part of a big move. After the 1st part HOU doesn't have anymore picks we can trade until 2013.
What about Ariza, Gortat, 2011 Magic 1st for Iggy + small filler?

And Ariza played out of role the 1st half of the season. He was our 1# option at times but thats not his game and his eff. suffered from that. After we brought in Martin, Ariza went back to the role he's best suited for (spot ups, slashing, perimater D) and he played good ball. He got a bad rap and was called a chunker for taking too many (hard) shots. But the Rockects needed more scoring from somewhere because our #1(Yao), 2(TMAC), and 3(Artest) options where gone so I can't hold that against him too much. I can understand why some people think or thought negitively about from the outside looking in. And his numbers aren't as bad as alot of people may claim.

I would trade Iguodala to the Rockets for a deal involving Ariza.

HOU cant do it straight up. And I know alot of your fellow PHI peers wouldn't like that anyways. I proposed a trade with Iggy for Ariza, Lowry, and Jordan Hill but they (understandably)didn't like it. Thoughts on the Gortat trade?

I disagree I think they would jump on the Iguodala for Ariza, Lowry, Hill deal.

Well your sixer brothren didn't like it. Some said yall want Ariza plus a pick(s) and a good young C. Cousins, Oden, B. Lopez, Howard, Horford, Bynum, Bogut, and M. Gasol are part of that small, select group of C's. But they are all valued higher around the league than Iggy and are near impossible to get in a trade unless you giving up a top 10 nba player like Kobe, Deron, or CP3. D12 is a top 10 player. Even J. DeAndre would command a pretty steep return. I thought that was unreasionable so I left it alone.

"Good young C" doesn't necessarily mean "future all-star young center." I usually say a center prospect. For example, Jordan Hill is a PF prospect, but isn't in the same group as Josh Smith, Kevin Love, Greg Monroe, or Derrick Favors.

When you made your proposal, we merely pointed out that Hill isn't a great prospect for us because of our glut of PFs, and that Lowry isn't necessary with Lou here (though I think he'll be a good PG) and also isn't under contract.

Well who did you have in mind? Would Daniel Orton do?

I wouldn't mind bringing in Orton. I think he's going to be a solid contributor at some point, though it may not be for a while.

Well are you guys trying to win now or are you still building up? I mean you guys already have Hawes, Speights, and Smith. The next level type C's are the Lopez's, Love, ect. and they're not going anywhere. Your right about Daniel Orton. It would take years just to see if he actually belongs in the league. But he wasn't coveted at all (29th pick). I think most would take Hill way before Orton. Derrick Favors(#4) and Monroe(#7) are top lottery picks. Ariza + top 7 lottery pick + another lottery pick isnt realistic return for (slightly overpaid) Iggy. Dont get me wrong , he's good but he's just not a all star.

Speights and Smith aren't centers.
