OT- George Steinbrenner Dead at Age of 80

Post#1 » by Gek » Tue Jul 13, 2010 2:18 pm

Rest in Peace George Steinbrenner.

I thought a man that did so much for sports and dynasties and franchises in baseball and America deserved his own topic.

His death came at the age of 80 in FL by massive heart attack.

I hate the Yankees because the Yankees always had money to throw at great players. But who can blame him? There are no rules against it, so he was a great owner for Yankees fans, he will sorely be missed by those fans.

Given the NBA has a salary cap, but don't the Lakers do a similar thing in terms of spending money in order to be successful. I can't fault either franchise for it.

RIP Steinbrenner.

At least he got to see his team win 1 more

Steinbrenner, Buss & Jerry Jones are the best owners in sports!
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
