Wow that's too bad, Back in the day the 3 ring circus with him, Billy Martin and Reggie Jackson was classic soap opera drama.

He was a nutcase with managers early on but he was the dream owner for a sports franchise in my book. Always wanted to win and never spared a dime in doing it and he a very charitable guy that was often overlooked because of all the drama. RIP.

Yep, definitely an owner that any team would want. He put his money into the team, and can't hate him for that. He was truly a character and a legend. May The Boss, RIP

He was crazy as cat **** for much of his life, but mellowed into a good owner and decent person. Definitely part of the baseball landscape for many decades.

meh, just because he died doesn't change the fact that he was a shady character all throughtout his life. Don't like him for his legacy in baseball either and nor should anyone who isn't a skankees fan.

As a Jays fan, I still would love to have someone like him at the helm, he was a great owner for the Yankees. He'll definitely be missed.
