B/B+.

Didn't land a big fish, but did quite an amazing job putting together an amazing balanced roster. The grade is subject to change obviously, it all really depends on the product on the court.

B+

I like that he made this team tougher with guys who want to be here and who are still young loadeed with potential. This grade can go as high as A+ depending on Randolphs progression and Feltons fit.

A-

He's created a great team after losing out on Lebron.

Getting Amar'e alone is a B, adding Felton, Randolph, Buke, Turiaf, Mozgov bumps him up.

I give him a solid B/B+. The fact that we had a deal ready the moment Lebron didn't sign was crucial and an indication of adept planning. He also landed Felton on a reasonable contract, in a FA season where a lot of horrible/exorbitant contracts are being signed.

A-

He's been freaking amazing. He's done everything we've asked of him.

Lebron didn't want to come in the first place. The only thing Donnie could have done to get Lebron here is to sign Chris Paul.

A-

Put together a good team and also kept us in play for future marquee free agents.

I would love to add Miller, but wouldn't want to jeopardize our chances at a max next season..

Besides the heat, we had the best off season of any team.

A+ woulda been Lebron and Bosh/Amare
A woulda been Lebron and whoever else....
B+ is as high as you can get with no Lebron.

For turning and expiring David into a high-end prospect like Randolph, a candidate to start at the 2 in Azu. and an enforcer/defender in Turiaf, when we could have just lost him for nothing is a B+.
A young superstar in Amare. Felton for soooo cheap (in this market). Timo for an unguaranteed 3 year pact (under Prokie's nose, no less).
And still having the flexibility to add significant pieces in the future.

B+
Well played Donfather.

B+/A-

He secured us the best FA that was actually available and got a A+ SnT for David Lee.

Built us a good team that has a ton of young potential players. Hopefully the chemistry is right and if were lucky one of our young studs will turn into allstar (or more :} ).

This is a good assessment and I agree. We were able to improve this team with solid players on short contracts and still preserve the cap for next season. I would give him a solid "A", it is not his fault that the top free agents already had their own agenda, and we were never in play.

B...He took a lot of shots on youthful guys that should produce, but it's up to D'antoni to put this all together. I love all of his moves so far, but I don't think you can give him an A without landing a top three target and I'll hold off on the B+ until the FA period ends and we've seen the moves of other teams in comparison.

Could go up to an A- depending on the results.

I'll have to wait until the season starts to submit my grade.

If NY can manage to not swap with the Rockets in 2011, and don't give up a lottery pick in 2012 then his grade will be hight.
