Gambo (talking bigs) and other stuff (Bell)

Post#1 » by AZdeuce » Wed Jul 14, 2010 2:08 am

... most likely just to fill out roster
Nesterovic
Oberto
Blount
Intriguing names,
Kurt Thomas
Hollins
and if Dwayne wasn't traded, they would have chosen him

Gambo just tweeted

And some crazy scource on ESPN message boards says suns close to signing Raja Bell

Wouldnt mind Nesto or blount but not exactly what i was thinking though. Were one Quality/Star Forward away from contenting. And Bell as a back=up im cool with. Bell to Lakers is just selling out.
My opinion : Lakers/Heat are destroying the image for the NBA! (just throwing that out there)

I'd love Hollins

Has a nasty streak and runs the floor well

I don't know if that's our most pressing issue though...surely we need another backup PG? Or is Reynolds going to be it? He's decent I suppose

Bell here...I'd like, but not likely

Here's another. LOU!!

Message boards are inherently inaccurate because the posters never are able to vett the one source who would know the truth.

Is it to late to back out of the Warrick contract somehow and re-sign Lou?

Oberto or KT would be perfect. I was hoping we'd get a future 1st from Toronto to package with Warrick so we could dump him.

MArcin Gortat from the Magic is a nice big who can run and defend who's probably available.

That list has got to be plan B. I am confident we have one or two more moves this summer.

Nash/Dragic/Reynolds
Hill/Childress

Why not the guy who played here last year - Jarron Collins, He was outstanding when Ro-Lo was out. His play against Tim Duncan was so spot on - used his fouls wisely, gave great effort. Can't jump a lick but he is the 13th guy

The team needs a defensive oriented center - so that leaves Thomas or Oberto.

Say no to Raja Bell

I'm not sure how much game Raja has left. I was opposed to bringing him back last year as he and Amare hate each other. Now, if cheap, I'd have no problem seeing him back with Nash, in particular if JRich were to be shipped out upon signing of Childress.

Raja is really only good for spot duty now with him having logged so many minutes in the Mike D era, I'd say why not have him as the last man off the bench.

Because he is joining the Lakers.

Honestly guys, I've been posting on the ESPN message board for quite some time (5+ years), and there aren't any legitimate sources there. I enjoy the discussions I have there, but I would take everything said there with a grain of salt. Just my two cents.

Nonsense. Lou is gone. He wants multi-year. Suns only want 1 year. Suns offered him a 1-yr and he rejected saying, "Sarver offered a 1-yr deal knowing I would reject." It is all over Twitter. Coro or something. Someone must have a link somewhere...

TASTIC wrote:I'd love Hollins. Has a nasty streak and runs the floor well

Tastic, we're talking about Ryan Hollins? Correct me if wrong, but he is under contract with the Wolves for another 2 years.

Yup. That seems just about right barring no Raja Bell signing. My sources tell me Raja is a done deal in Los Angeles. Lakers have offered 2 yr deal. Up to Raja to decide. I highly doubt he plays for the Suns unless both Richardson and Hill are traded - and that is not going to happen.

Also, it don't look good for Scottie Reynolds. Coro wrote an article about this topic. Looks like Zabian Dowdell is your third-string point guard most likely. Here is how the depth chart will look with a Richardson trade for a power forward

G Nash - Dragic - Dowdell
G Hill - Childress
F Turkoglu - Dudley - Clark
F Via Trade - Warrick - Lawal
C Lopez - Frye - Oberto

Hey Sunsman, just thought I'd let you know that I appreciate your posting as of recent.

You've mentioned a couple times that the Suns are trying to flip J-Rich for a PF, can you expand on that a little bit? I'm not exactly looking for specific names as to who we may be targeting, but how hard and how likely is it that J-Rich will indeed be traded for a starter quality PF?
