Personally I have never been a fan of these kinds of "awards" the usual boil down to popularity contests and people taking shots at each other.

I can see a hall of fame for posters who contribute a lot, and by that I mean posts of substance not post count which to me is completely irrelevant.

Kind seeing shots taken already, and self promotion.

But hey just one man's opinion, carry on with the fun.

kane2021 wrote:Appreciate the love fellas. If it wasnt for some of the regulars named in this thread I might not have made it through the LBJ thread. Ball boys and Johny come latelys had me crazy. But I persevere for you.

I got love for ya'll. You know who you are. If I wrote all the names it would be to many.

I do want to give a special shout to Towlie, Jiptal, and Brother I am Ra. (sorry if my spelling is off) You guys held things together with respect and knowledge in those wild threads leading up to the last moments. There was many of us, (you know who u are) but I think those 3 deserve some credit.

Also welcome back to MP and Mags on the mod tip. Dudes took a shot gun to the boards. Great work.

A special welcome back to Clyde.

I want to send a personal shout out to FatKat, Stuporman, MP, TKF. You guys helped me on a personal level.

Starks, Smoke, Remi, all season long with true support.

2010, TS, TW, ITGM for stimulating the brain into open thinking.

Stutter, Huey, allowing for us to reminisce on the old days.

NLR. Got mad at me for Lee. But its all good

Bradley, 2k2, Kos, duetta, BOB. Dont post regularly but always a good read.

Bluest, I gave you s***. You stood tall. Much respect due.

Justdatdude is a interesting poster. Never gave me no crap and I enjoy reading your posts. (smh  )

pharmcat, everything's going to be alright

There is so many of you guys I wish I could name you all. I dont do this internet talk thing like that. Stutter and MP really helped me through in the beginning. I joined in 2001 but never posted. Forgot the login so I created this account to give my 2 cents on Marbury and the rest is history.

Paeds for holding us down always positive and helping me with my broken toe.

Waya, bno, Ech, humor and knowledge

GONYK, CGF,

I wish I could name all of yall. If I missed you its not because I wanted to. My ass is sore. I havnt got no work done all week. 2010 FA done side tracked me and its time to get back on track.

No awards just love. This is way more than a knicks message board. News, help, analysis. Put them ESPN boys to shame. And for free.

Ahhhhhh I wish I could name everyone! Much love to the realgm knicks board.

Thanks for the shoutout Kane!

Ultimately, what you guys need to understand about me is that for the last 20yrs I have had a job that I couldn't call in sick to. That's right, I have never called in sick in the last 20yrs. In the business I am in, you quit, you risk going to prison. There is no excuse for not completing a task. So, that is the approach that I evaluate all jobs with...that is all I really know. I'm not making any excuses for my approach, because I don't feel any is necessary. However, what you all see as negativity/pessimism is just a transfer of a standard/expectation that I have been held to all of my working life, to the members of the Knick organization. Nevertheless, I accept my infamous awards with grace and real expectation of getting them again next year. :D

But really, the good experience that I am getting talking to you all on this board is that I am face to face with the reality that the civilian world doesn't have nor want the type of standard of accountability that I have had in the military. I am not making an overt confession of whether this is good or bad. I am saying that it is good that I am faced with that fact, even in this small/indirect capacity.

No love for St. Knick. St Knick follows the board religiously, posts a few times a day, occasioanlly something insightful, occasionally something immature, with the flair of an optimistic fan. St Knick gets not love in the ROY vote. Maybe it's b/c I can't figure out how to get a damn avatar next to my name.

It's not just a matter of negativity. It's when you use the negativity to over-react and start making recommendations that are flat out bad for this team. There is no excuse for performing poorly, but it is much worse if you get flustered by the pressure and give in to make terrible decisions. That's what Isiah did. Nobody here is saying that this team is a championship contender tomorrow, but most people realize that panic moves won't make this team any better either. This is not a job, this is a long term business that needs to be sustained for the long term. Can't take the daily hustle and bustle attitude to it.

To pposters who want votes and love it comes down to this, make better post. It's not that hard. To often people think post count makes you a better poster when that's not the case. Better post make for better topics and conversations.
