How is this trade? I think the Nets might be the only team that wouldn't like it.
Sixers - Terence Williams, Jeffries, and Houston's pick (New York pick swap option)
Rockets - Iggy and Green
Nets - Ariza, Hill/Hayes, and possibly a 2nd round pick from Philly
A Thad for Jordan trade could be made in addition to this.

^ don't like it.
It doesn't make sense to move Iggy for another (but less talented/less motivated) SF, who also happens (from what i've seen of him play) to be a on the ball type player. Just makes no sense. Hou's pick is worthless. Both hou & ny are going to be in the playoffs.

What are the plans for Nocioni? Would you be open to deal along the lines of Hasheem Thabeet and DeMarre Carroll for Andres?

Backup forward that fights for minutes with Thad Young... and Hell Yes we'd do that trade

I kinda think that's a bad deal for the Nets actually. They take on a ton of salary, and the player they give out has more value than any player coming in.

I was just watching Mem summer league game last night, man did that group look bad. (no offense 2 ur team), but OJ is not a PG, and Thabeet is still a LONG ways from contributing.
That said, I'd gladly move our back up sf/pf for a back up C... we'd probably just cut carroll.

Agreed. Thabeet for Nocioni would be fantastic. We'd throw in a few 2nds I'm sure.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Elton Brand
Louis Williams
Thaddeus Young
for
Erick Dampier
DeSagana Diop
Matt Carroll
Gerald Henderson
We get rid of Brand's contract. Dampier's contract isn't guaranteed. Henderson is a Thad replacement. He still has a few seasons left on his rookie deal, so we avoid Thad's free agency. Carroll and Diop's contracts expire at the same time as Brand's unless they aren't guaranteed. That's a negative, but we save a great deal of cap space. Lou Williams is a throw in. Jodie Meeks is ready and he isn't as costly...

No offense taken - it was painful. That said, while OJ isn't and may well never be a true 1, there's hope that he can become an effective combo guard.
In regards to the proposal, few in Memphis expected Gasol 2.0 to break out as huge as he did last season. Add that to the fact that we have Thabeet mirrored in Hamed Haddadi (at a much cheaper cost) and the Grizz FO has always been enamored with Noc (they offered him essentially the same deal he is on now prior to Chicago resigning him) and there's a potential fit. I dunno - it won't happen, was just curious what y'all's take on it was.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Yeah i think Mayo will be successful as a combo guard, i really like him, i think he'd look great next to a guy like Iggy, who can handle the ball a bit more... but anyway.
I saw you guys were having some troubles with X.Henry's signing? Any interest in throwing him into the deal (that will never happen), we could send back LWill (i think he'd start at pg over conley).
Thabeet/Henry/Carrol---->Young/Noc/2nd
or
Thabeet/Henry/Carrol/filler--->LWill/Noc/2nd

How about Budigner, Hill and Jefferies for Iguodala???
That would be my deal, we get two good young players, and a expirings in Jefferies.
Budginer is great off the ball and on a cheap contract, Hill's a good developing big, and Jefferies is a decent defender who's also an expiring.

I would want a pick in that trade, and I would probably explore other options first.

Folks - Im new to this board but I agree - I was thinking almost the exact same thing, moreso back around draft time (when I was thinking we pick Cousins at 2 and then Henry - not that I mind Evan T).
I think LWill would be a great PG in Memphis, next to Mayo. If Jrue didnt come on so sotrong after Lou got hurt he might still be our starting PG.
I would do Thabeet and Carrol for Noc with a 2nd added in for us. Just IMO

Agreed... And what about subbing Battier in for Jefferies - they make about the same coin on an expiring contract. Good defender, character guy.

Sorry, no way I move Iggy for that. Budigner is a great role-player, 7th + man. Hill has yet to prove much, and man i'm watching him play right now and ug(looks lost/sloppy/lazy), maybe a bench big. So no, i'm not going to trade Iggy for 2 young bench players and a bad player on an expiring contract. A pick is a must and swapping Jeffries for Battier. ideally we could resign Battier to keep him around as another veteran stabilizing force long term. If not he'd have good value at the trade deadline to a contending team.

Not trolling just coming up with an unlikely trade that would never happen, but if you were to get Vince Carters expiring 17 mil contract and the Suns 2nd year man Earl Clark+ a couple players too and fro to make #s work, or a second rounder, is it possible?? Please be gentle!! lol

Well you'd have to let us know who we'd be sending out in the trade, that's usually pretty important.

For what? Iguodala?
...No, that's not something we'd be remotely interested in. Earl Clark doesn't have trade value, he's a bust as of right now. If you want to take on Brand along with Iguodala we can talk.

How about......
Iguodala and Lou Williams for.....
Hill,Ariza,Jefferies and Budinger and Houstins pick with the right to swap.
Philly makes room for Turner at PG, and they get a bunch of good assets for Iguodala.
Houston gets a backup pg because they're most likely gonna lose Lowry, and they get Iguodala at SF, who's a perfect fit next to Kevin Martin.
