Shaun Livingston Signed (merged)

Post#1 » by hhvo » Wed Jul 14, 2010 5:55 pm

According to Rick B., the Bobcats are looking to sign Shaun Livingston. I really don't mind that at 6'7, he's definitely the big PG L.Brown always wanted.

For years when me and Paydro and our friends would do fantasy drafts in 2k, Shaun Livingston would be drafted by the computer ridiculously early, like in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Now he's on our team! I was really excited about the kid as a prospect and he seems to have had a good run in Washington from what I remember seeing. I like this move a lot.

But hopefully there is a lot more to come.

Wow, really? That's a strong statement.

I guess this will some what take care of the PG void... While leaving Dampier for another move. I'm starting to really like the trade we did with Dallas.

he averaged 11 ppg and 5 apg as a starter last season for the wizards in 18 games. He's no slouch but he did just came back from a career threatening injury.

I would LOVE this if it happened. He's the high risk/high reward/potentially cheap type we should be going for.

He's also a great compliment to DJ and the two of them could easily share the court at times.

If we do sign him I hope we lock him up to the deal I mentioned last week (something like 5/10 with player then team options).

And I don't know about you fools, but my **** head is hurting after these past 4 days.

What a ride!!

I wonder how much he could get? Probably a good move in case other things won't fell in our favour and we would like to avoid a lux tax.

Yup, somehow we completely lost the way to Cathouse drafts etc. No time.

11ppg, 5apg, with only 25mins compared to Felton 12ppg 5.6apg in 33 mins is not bad at all. By no mean is he a definite starter in this league, but he could cover the pg void. Plus I'm sure we'll getting him cheap... <2MM?

Sorry Forrester - with all the action over the past few days I don't think I have welcomed you to the board!!

Agreed. He finished the season strong with Washington last year. If his knee injury is behind him, he could be a real steal. Skeptical he's our answer as the starting PG but if he's being signed to replace Hughes and swing between the 1/2 off the bench, I'm all for it.

As per Woj:

Shaun Livingston has agreed in principle to a two-year, $7 million deal with Charlotte, league sources tell Y! Also non-guaranteed 3rd year. less than a minute ago via web

^ still excited by the signing but was hoping he would be a little bit cheaper.

The nonguaranteed third year was a good touch.

If that's true, then it's OK deal.

He had very good stats for Wizards at the end of last season.

I think back before we traded up to the #2 pick, I wanted to draft Livingston.

I don't know what all he has left, but I was surprised to see the decent stats he posted last year.

I think it's a decent signing. His height should be a nice change-up from Augustin.

You guys just signed Livingston to a 2 year deal

Post#20 » by Leolovinliberal » Wed Jul 14, 2010 6:55 pm

Great signing, he was a stud for the Wiz during the last half of the season. Excellent "under the radar" signing. Looks like you got your starting pg.
