Vilma given permission to seek a trade

Post#1 » by Jose7 » Fri Feb 22, 2008 3:45 pm

:banghead: . The only reason why I became a Jets fan was because of Vilma. I only started really watching football 3 years ago and it was because of this man. Will be sad to see him go. :noway:

At least it is a mutual feeling on both sides, we all know that Vilma has no future with the Jets. Maybe if Harris struggled, but he flat out was amazing. Also in that article they said his value was a third rounder, I really dont like that. We are talking about a top five MLB in the 4-3, Cover 2. If a team wants him they need to bring more then a third rounder.

This was only a matter of time. It was clear that Vilma is not a 3-4 LB from the beginning , and is only a classic Mike. He belongs in the 4-3, and the Jets are not going to be switching to that while "Mangenious" is the HC. Hopefully his confidence is not shot so he can be a pro-bowler somewhere else. Look for Denver and Detroit to get in on the talks.

Vilma is a great guy, a class act if there's ever been one and a very good football player. But he doesn't fit our scheme and we aren't only wasting a position here, we also don't do him any well by keeping him around. Let him go to a 4-3 team and he will dominate again.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

Same, I became a Jets fan because of him. Gonna miss him.

Glad to see that he's gonna leave and dominate in a 4-3 scheme.
